Logo was definitely in need of an update, not a bad effort. Definitely Tottenham-esque. I saw the inspiration for the italic text, not a great look but it does have a meaning so I'll give it that.

It's funny, they finally fall into line with all the other states in terms of designing a logo that fits in the lopsided shield, and then you remember that the shield is a design motif literally from 2003

Anyone got news/info on the AFL logo redesign/rebrand? I thought this was supposed to happen… I guess covid put a halt on this?
Always sounded to me as heavily rumour based and no real substance to the claims. I would expect if any new logo would come up it would be announced in the prefinals bye or in grand final week.

Yeah, the information that has been posted made me feel like the information wasn't entirely there. I'm not sure if covid would have a large affect on the new/redesigned logo, especially if the work had already started.
No new logo has been put up for trademark that I could find. The current logo is up for renewal in 2029, not that they would let go of the trademark.
If they did, they would make a big show of it before the next seasons gear came out. Which is why i suggested the bye week or grand final week.
