How recent is this? I’d be surprised if the new regime would allow this logo which uses the motifs and colours of the old pre-taliban flag

Came here to post this. Surprised it isn't reflective of the white shahada flag

Essendon 150 Years logo trademarked without 150 years is pending. Looks like the 150 years logo will be the replacing the stealth bomber logo at the end of next year.

Pretty good upgrade, definitely not bad.

Although if they were going to go with a new logo might as well just modernise the bear a bit. Looks stuck in the 80s while the rest of the logo is in that neo-Retro sort of style.

Really? While I think the current logo is dated, the 150th logo looks like something ripped out of those season review booklets from the 50s. Cool for an anniversary thing, but a huge downgrade if the stick with it.

Yeah pretty much this. Its absolutely fine as an anniversary logo, but as much as the old logo needs to be replaced, keeping this one permanently is not a step forward IMO.

I always liked the monogram. As the current logo need to be changed, it's nice and easy to stick with the 150 one, which is quite nice. I'm not sure what a better logo would like

I think the monogram looks nice (I wish Pies used ours a bit more too) but it's never been an outstanding part of the clubs identity, at least not for a long time. The Bomber is probably the most recognisable part of Essendon's brand as dated as it is. But to be honest I think all it needs is just a simple recolour and it would work.
