Welcome BACK to Logo of the Week!

Each fortnight, you will be required to produce a new logo for an existing sports team. That team can be a club or representative side from any competition, anywhere in the world.

10 days will be allowed for entries, with 4 days for voting.

This competition is designed for us all to practice our graphic design skills. We want fresh and unique ideas and entries. Use this competition to try things you've never tried before. You'd be surprised how easy things can be to draw when you sit down and give it a go.

There will never be too much of a design brief beyond the club name, so let your imagination run wild!

Rules:

- No stolen artwork! This is THE central tenet of this competition! Everything in your logo must be 100% drawn yourself, either in your graphics program of choice or on paper, and scanned in. Or even a combination of both! Under no circumstances are you to use an existing logo from elsewhere as part of your design.

- There is no limit on how many entries you can make, provided they are unique. If you are going to have multiple entries, make them different from each other or they wont go in the poll. Post entries in this thread.

- The winner of each fortnight will choose the team for the next competition.

I'm fairly guilty of jumping straight into illustrator because it is just so easy. I reckon I might try starting out with a notebook rather than the macbook when it comes to this comp, just to see how it changes what I come up with.

Every logo I've done starts with a rough sketch on photoshop with the paintbrush tool. I should actually release a few of those scribblings here.

Not saying anything negative about the design but just out of curiosity what sort of terrier is that?
I based it off a Manchester Terrier as I thought it looked more masculine and better for a sporting team. But yeah definitely should've used a Yorkshire terrier. Oh well.

Ah ok, yeah I was seeing something more like a doberman. And Yorkies can be pretty vicious, though I guess they really aren't that masculine.

Yesssss Spanna! Love the Yorkie and it's a really cool entry!
Thanks mate!

Forgot to mention the castle shaped background is in reference to the Castle Hill landmark found in Huddersfield and on the previous badge.

Loving the entries so far! I'm about half way through mine. Still plenty of time left!
