Spangher - last week nothing happening in defence so pushed forward. This week, he was the backup ruck so needed to 'rest' forward as is the custom rather than being rested in defence.
LRT - most of those games he was also the backup ruck, similar to Spangher's reasons above.
Grundy - for about 2 seconds? There wasn't a natural matchup for him though given Adelaide only had Tippett as their main target
Lewis Johnston - yeah this one irks me a little and if Spangher gets the call up this week over Lewis I'm going to be ticked off.
Everitt - Agree but Eade did the same thing and there'll be other similar players who will be misused
Goodes - I think he can be used as a forward BUT when his influence wanes within a game they have to shift him to the center. Case in point, last night, started really well looked like he was going to run rings around Rutten in the first half but was well contained in the 2nd half. I think the only time we saw him not in the forward line was right near the end when it was lost.
Bradshaw was a great fullback too and Reid also played his fair share of games as a defender last year.
The main problem I feel is that they are not making the hard decisions and cutting one or two of the talls out of the team. It almost feels like they are picking what they think are the best 21 or 22 players and then forming a structure around them rather than picking the best players for the structure that they wish to play. It will be interesting to see how they handle the return of Mummy and how that affects Seaby and managing Richards, Grundy, Johnson and Roberts-Thomson in the one team.
