Call me a bad sport.
Call me a loser.
say its not whithin the spirit of the game
Muse are good, muse have given me plenty over the years,

However...

Intervention has a pulse

The Arcade fire brought tears to my eyes.
The Arcade fire gave to me what you cannot ask for.

This is far rked

Bloody hell, get over it, I love The Arcade Fire too, but bugger me. I actually think Map of the Problematique is the best song from Muse's BH&R, but Knights of Cydonia is a worthy winner, thank god it wasn't Silverchair.

Care to elaborate?

give me a little bit of vitriol

The point young renton is that whilst KOC is a good song, however worthy of the #1 winner, Intervention sheets on soul, conscience and absolute class.

How did it not feature in the top 100?

That my young learned friend is the question, (especially after you and fifty thousand others have just belted out the chorus at the big day out)

I'll admit that I'm surprised that Arcade Fire didn't have more of an impact, but still, no need to worry, they're still good, hottest 100 placing or not. Only 1 song wasn't it?

But not number one worthy?

ok, maybe at least top ten

Ok ok maybe top 20

do you get my drift?
it is the the song of the decade but still cant crack our pittance of a countdown. its insulting. im embarrest to the hilt

What am i supposed to say to Win and co?

I was very surprised and dissapointed that there was only 1 Arcade Fire song in the countdown, not that surprised that there wasn't a high AF song. There was too much quality over the entire album that everyone voted for different songs. Just look at the what did you vote for posts and you will see a very even spread of the different Arcade Fire songs that could be voted for.

Astonished that Intervention didn't get in at all though, brilliant song. Will be one of my BDO highlights for sure.

I am compeltely dumbfounded at some of the songs that have made the top 100 this year, even the top 10 is confusing. Only one song by one of the best bands to grace this staions airwaves is embarrasing. I will have a tear in my eye when Intervention is played Tuesday night. Cant wait.

It's not surprising they only got one song in. Lookin at the 04/05 lists, nothing from Funeral got on those lists. Not the type of band with a fan base that vote in these sorts of polls, I guess.

I'm glad there are others out there that share my appreciation for this song. One of the best songs i've heard in the past 10 years. Truly moving. That it lacks mass appeal is arguably a good thing.

After all the bitching and carrying on I expected this song to be amazing, it was said people would be crying in the crowd and stuff. Lets just say at BDO I was never really moved by the show, they werent bad, but in no way was there a song played where you could say that it is a black and white decision that it was better than knights of cydonia. which brings me to my main point- people have different opinions, get over it
