Why is that? I've never seen him play so all I've got to go off are stats but this guy is a ball magnet that managed to average 33 touches a game this season! I can only assume he butches the ball quite a bit for you to say something like that?I'd rather draft Shane Tuck than Allan

How old are suckling and Pfeiffer?Mid 20's?
Pfeiffer is 24 and Suckling is 22.
Cheers. Worthy of a look then surely?
You would think so. They would definetly be better options than Cook, Symes and Schmidt.
The bar is set pretty low there. As long as we are burning our 3rd/4th rounders or rookie picks on them, then I'm happy.
Matt Suckling (Norwood) - number 1 clearance player in SANFL, big bodied and has pretty neat skills.
I see James Allan won his third Magarey medal this year, what do we think the chances are of us drafting him are? Currently 26 so he is a bit old but at the same time could have another strong 4-6 years ahead of him and would instantly improve our side and hopefully help develop some of the guys in the side (with him taking more of the attention). Thoughts?
No, he is eligible next year. Has already been talked about as a possible top 10 pick next year. I would be very keen on picking him up if we can.
Other players from the sanfl i would look at would be almond, goldsworthy, ainger.
Toumpas has nominated for that mini-draft as a 17 year old thing for this year. So how can the Crows get him from that? He is a gun. Haven't been more impressed from a player playing his first few league games. Good size for a midfielder, good pace, fantastic skills.
Well looking at the great teams in the AFL and now looking closely at Central it's very clear to be successful you need tough players and highly skilled/reliable kickers.
IMO we should use our first 2 or 3 picks on best available youngsters, but after that we need to select ready made skillful and big bodied mature agers (in national draft and rookie draft).
I would like us to look especially at (in any order);
Matt Suckling (Norwood) - number 1 clearance player in SANFL, big bodied and has pretty neat skills.
Lee Spurr (Central) - running half back/medium defender with good skills and loves to provide run with reasonable speed.
Also, bringing the conversation over from the Ayers thread, what does everyone think about Shane Valenti?
Was very unlucky to be delisted by Melbourne and has since won the last two JJ Liston Medals for the best player in the VFL. Was part of the undefeated premiership team.
And to bring up an old chestnut, thoughts on Myles Sewell?
I'd be happy to have both of them here at the Crows.
