what to people think of Cameron Ellis-Yolmen could he be the next Goodes? He won't go High but late 2nd round into 3rd I could see him being taken.

Rookie draft at best. Too slow, foot skills inconsistent and not particularly strong overhead for his size. Is very good at winning first possession but never gives the first option and gets caught with it even at U18s level.

Have you been reading Chris25's mock?

I've been saying it for months mate but people don't listen on this board.
:thumbsu: Looks like everyone on here wants him bad, not sure why, I guess because he's an SA lad and he's had a bit of media attention.

I think at best he becomes like Levi Greenwood, but that's a best case scenario. He's a big boy, he's got a nice looking kick (although funnily enough in saying that if often lets him down), but he's slow, and I'm really not sure about his upside. I think it's limited.

If Grigg goes high in this draft, it'll really reinforce the point of what a weak draft it is. He should be a rookie pick.

Limited upside no doubt, has little growth and I question his desire. People read the mock drafts of interstate posters who have seen him play two games on TV and read the hype and get drawn in. Rookie draft at best. If any team takes him in the top 40, I will point and laugh heartily in their direction. I will go into more depth on why I don't like him after the draft.

Completely agree. While watching him play I can’t help but be frustrated by his work ethic because to me he doesn’t work as hard as he should. Each time he was named in the seniors I thought 'another chance for him to impress', but each time I came away feeling disatisfied with his performance. I wonder what the Crows think of him.

If work ethic is an issue, chances are we're not too hot on him.

What are people's thoughts on Chad Sandilands?

He'll be on a list at the end of all the drafts, his size and family connections alone are enough to guarantee him a spot somewhere as a project ruckman. Regular or rookie remains to be seen.

Doesn't really sound like we'd be too crash hot on him and the parts of a game I saw him play he really didn't stand out as anything special. Jace Bode mark II, but without the pace? I think the main reason ppl like is they see tough, left footer who can kick it a mile.

What are your thoughts on Forster? Seems like a good player, with few deficiencies to his game, but perhaps lacking a certain X-factor. Saw him tear up an intercol game, but it was against a hapless Westminster.

Any of you seen McKenzie, looks like he could be a good selection with pick 24 if he lasts? From the clips has a beautiful left leg on him.

I really like Forster, I'd be happy to draft him. I think he's really disciplined, sticks to his task well, and has a cool head on his shoulders. He's very good at spoiling, and has good disposal. I'd really like him. :thumbsu:

Haha, not there is anything wrong with that.

Yeah I'm a big fan of Ellis-Yolmen - considering barely anyone else on the D&T board has seen him, I'm easily his biggest on BigFooty. I don't think he'll go as early as I have him, but I do think he'll surprise come draft day. A lot of the midfielders outside of the top 15 or so don't have any real stand out qualities, so I think a few teams will like what they see in Cameron.

Frost's dad played 100+ SANFL games. Glenelg and Sturt back in the '80s. Must be an Adelaide connection there.

I think he might have a future either forward or back if he ends up at the right club. He's athletic for a "tall" but can actually play football. I think on the surface this draft is relatively weak but some of these kids that might fall between 25-35 could be real players if they get some confidence and a club invests the time into their development. I also think that whoever gets Curran might get their hands on a pretty nice player. Lacks a bit of polish and maybe a yard of pace but is a strong mark overhead and can find the goals. Put a couple of pre-seasons into him and he could be a nice player. :thumbsu:

If he is around when the AFC have their picks

Shane Kersten
Club: South Fremantle
Age: 18
Height: 190cm
Weight: 88kg
"Powerful forward who is strong overhead and a long kick. Kicked five goals against Queensland in the 2010 NAB AFL Under 18 Championships as a 17 year old but missed 2011 Championships due to injury

Not at all mate, the post I quoted just sounded like like a lot of what of you have been saying. Everyone is entitled to pump up a player. :thumbsu:

I do my best to pump up the SA kids, otherwise those Victorian posters think they run the joint. Did manage to get Waldhuter up from a late second round to a mid-first round pick in some other poster's minds before I dropped him back to a more reasonable position. :p

Right...now after the Johnston miracle trade we have 24 46 and 64 (I think)

Should see couple more mids and maybe another KKP or ruck with 64.
Intrested on the rookie list situation as I don't think there are too many on it.

You would think now the Johnston trade is official and Sumner wasn't mentioned, that he'd be a delist for sure from the Swans. Wonder if we'll try rookie him or grab in the PSD? Probably a good chance Port will grab him first I suppose.

Any chance we will pick up another 2008 Draft alumni in Chris Hall, either as a late pick or as a Rookie?

Perhaps we should hope that Brad Ebert goes into the PSD too in that case.
