She has a talented voice, seems pretty quirky in interviews and so forth.. Not a fan of her lyrically though......

Alanis is not a has-been. She has not released an album in years, effectively retired from the industry.
Smart woman that didn't want to be dictated to on when her use by date was up.
Fwiw, from what I've heard of Lordes music I think it's brilliant.
I'm also a Nirvana and Ramones fan, that has all of their albums but no t-shirts.

Lorde is definitely one of my guilty pleasures.

I was pretty dismissive at the start but her lyrics are so poetic and smart and she'd be one of the few young pop singers actively trying to convey her story and not conforming to the idealised parameters of pop music. She's one of the few 17 year olds in the industry who actually wants to sing about being 17.

I don't really get the knocks on her looks either. She's got a fairly polarising face but I think she's got a certain cuteness. I'd love to see some of the partners of some of the BigFooty posters.

I do think she is a bit pretentious however - I find her personality to be a little underwhelming and she always across bored and completely disengaged in interviews. She'd be the type of girl who rocks up to a house party, spends the night talking exclusively to her three best indie friends, downs two Rekorderligs and then heads home around 11.

One of the least talented members of Odd Future too.

I know it's not uncommon for hip hop artists to be completely vacuous and misogynistic but Tyler really does take it to a new level.
