Murdoch has all the physical tools but is a major disappointment. What pick they are taken doesn't matter. I'm just looking if the pick was a win or not.

West was neither here nor there for me. If he was any good, he wouldn't have been shipped off the Brisbane.

In my opinion anyone who plays in a premiership side for Geelong is alright with me regardless of whether they stay at the club or not, it means they have made a significant contribution to bringing the club the ultimate gift and im ok with that.

Abbott shouldn't have made it out of Grovedale. Honestly bewildered by the list management calls being made. Cowan, Horlin-Smith, McCarthy all on the list for years with no return on investment. Not even high end talent and they get gifted multi year deals. Add abbot throw in picks used on bonafide busts such as Smedts, Lang, Brown, Cockatoo, Caddy, Thurlow what should be the core of our team you can see why we are so free agent happy. Wells is a guru alright..

Geez bit hard on Trent West and Allan Christensen, both Premiership players and Christensen was one of our best. Also pick 48 for Murdoch who is getting up to near 100 games can hardly be classed as a failure, he has been quite serviceable despite the hate he gets..

I'd also say a bit harsh on Dean Gore - the only reason he spent a single year on our list is due to the trade for Danger. The fact that after being delisted by the Crows last year and even being an SA lad, that he would choose to come back and sign on our VFL list indicates how he was rated by the club & how he rated his year here (even with being traded).

Not suggesting he should be a tick, but a cross doesn't really seem fair either.

I'm hoping he is retained on our VFL list for another 12 months and actually gets an opportunity to show us his worth after recovering from his ACL injury

Murdoch is depth, he plays as much as he misses. GHS misses more than he plays, hence he's probably going. Kolo is borderline best 22 after 5
years but that could be more the club. He was settling reasonably well with the rest of the backline earlier this year until Harry and Hendo came back. Still out on him.

You obviously don't read gameday threads on the Geelong board, most of the posters hook into him. Not being dropped might also be an indication of our lack of quality depth. He had a good patch this season when the whole backline was going well but for me he was always the most likely to be the weakest link and sure enough, when I was watching, he was the first one to lose his form. I gave him a game or two because he had built up a little bit of credit but he was reasonably poor for the rest of the season, we just didn't have much to replace him with.

Especially compared to some of the players you gave a tick to. McCarthy a tick???
You gave Vardy a tick but gave all of Laidler, Hamling,Walker Brown a cross?

Josh Cowan deserves a tick just for turning up to report to the doc each year.
