In Dream Team terms, how well do you think he will score this year?
Fast-running backmen.
Will he get the cheap marks like Welsh?
Will he tackle as much as McVeigh?
Thoughts?

I think he is the type of player that will rack up a consistant amount of points each week, but he won't get as many points as McVeigh.

mcveigh will score more for sure because he is going to be an onballer this year. NLM will get a lot of posessions because everyone looks for him to run the ball out of the backline. Id like to see him tackle more and that will help his scoring.

Can be prone to the odd clanger.

Yes he can and i have been critical of him for it but i must say he has improved his disposal during the practice games.
If you are only picking him to play AFL dream team he will be good value as clangers dont count and i think he will have more games closer to 20 possessions this year than he has in the past.:thumbsu:

McVeigh or Lovett-Murray for DT?
I say McVeigh.
Big year expected...
His time has come.
Agree?

I do i think he will be good value as a back if he plays like he did against Brisbane;)

I had McVeigh last year based on Sheedy's grand plan of playing him as a midfielder... Of course he hardly touched the dream team sheets!

On that basis I'm going for Lovett-Murray.

I came into this thread not knowing what it was about and expected Longy to already have ripped on him lol

Might not be good for your dream team people as his apparently not a definite selection :)

hes an automatic selection unless injured ofcourse. this guy will be a permanent part of our backline. hes going really well and confidence is on the up every time he steps out on the field. Watched him yesterday and he has really worked on his defensive side ie punching and using his body in contests. look forward to see more of his runs out of the backline in 2006!

Can cope with his occasional clangers as long as he keeps dashing out of the backline like he does. What is also good, is that he kicks it long. He's in my 22.
