If he finishes between 7-11, it'll be his lowest ranking since 2001 when he finished No. 13 with a win-loss record that year of 49-21.

I have no interest in basketball, but I find this to be an amazing site. So comprehensive and well-presented.

This came up during the recent Australian Open as Kimiko Date-Krumm played Belinda Bencic.

SELECT DATEDIFF(dd,'1970-09-28','1997-03-10')
--9660 days: Date-Krumm (43y 3m 16d) v Bencic (16y 10m 3d) - 1R, 2014 Australian Open (Mon 2014-01-13)

SELECT DATEDIFF(dd,'1956-10-18','1985-01-30')
--10331 days: Navratilova (47y 8m 5d) v Dulko (19y 4m 24d) - 2R, 2004 Wimbledon (Wed 2004-06-23)

Cheers Red+Black.

Amazing to think Navratilova's nearly 30 years older than Gisela Dulko.

This article on Cricinfo from yesterday mentions Mohammad Hafeez putting in a good all round effort contributing 75 runs, 2 wickets and 2 catches. So I thought I'd tweak the numbers a little and see what I could find.

3 instances of a player in an ODI scoring 50, taking a wicket as well as 4 catches: Y Khan, S Tendulkar and M Clarke.

2 instances of a player in an ODI scoring a 50, taking 3 wickets as well as 3 catches: J Kallis and G Matthews.

1 instance of a player in an ODI scoring a 50, taking 4 wickets as well as 2 catches: Boof Lehmann!!!

NB: Only Younis Khan and Michael Clarke achieved their feat without a c&b. Younis Khan also effected a run out!

Was that The Cricketer Quarterly?

Used to love that magazine. Best source of scorecards for county cricket.
I've got a complete set of that publication.

It didn't give full scorecards of county matches though, I am sure. Not enough room. I will have to check now....:)

From memory, when Playfair Cricket Monthly ceased publication around 1973 (I think it merged with The Cricketer), Cricketer Quarterly was started with a view to maintaining PCM's statistical focus.

The Titans will top this week's NRL ladder with negative for-and-against. I'll have to have a look see for any other instances.

If Storm won they would have been top with the 3rd worst PD in the league. Instead, they lose to a last minute penalty goal and are 9th on the ladder.

Switzerland's Belinda Bencic debuts in the WTA's top 100 rankings.

Nothing special except she's the first top 100 player born in 1997.

Don't we all feel that much older.
