He was superb; he could of been playing like that all year if Harve's and the coaching staff didn't refuse to play him in the right position. The guy is not a backman, Port made that mistake so we need to play him more in the midfield.

Better not let Clay know that we picked up a solid inside midfielder, he'd have nothing to whine about..
I think they can, the players they've picked up previously have all been 'noticed' previously and disregarded. That has to be their strategy, targeting late bloomers or seeing a player in the wrong position.
I think we'll go KPP this time.
Sometimes it just doesn't pan out for the recruiters. Pitt at 20 was too good to pass up. Then I strongly suspect we would have picked Parker next round, but the Swans snagged him the pick before ours. Hallahan was another who sounded like a good inside mid for us, but he went 4-5 picks beforehand. Can understand his point though.
We only picked up the one genuine inside mid with all of our picks last year. Pitt, Michie and Mellington may have a chance to play inside one day but aren't inside mids today.
Ruffles, Buco and Roberts aren't inside mids either.
Doesn't seem to be something we've made much of an attempt to recruit for over the past few years. We seem to be trying to grab flankers and outside mids and train them to work inside, rather than grabbing a few genuine inside players.
Was the reason I was hoping we'd pick up Parker last year. Ended up grabbing Pitt in the first round. Time will tell.
