Who was the luckiest AA player to make the team?

I am not trying to deny morris his spot here at all, because i believe he was worthy and has had a damn fine year, but when did he beat McVeigh? When McVeigh was having a ripper game in round 4-5 before tearing his hamstring early in the last? Or when he played at about 30% in round 21 due to our lack of players?

Don't think Moore has been beaten all year. The most he coughed up was 4 against Fev despite killing him in nearly every 1 on 1.

There were quite a few hard-luck stories.

I think Cooney possibly, but he was close to MVP for 8 rounds, and solid the rest so it's hard to argue against.

Judd would be one of the luckiest - and quite farcial he was named captain to.

Harley - I thought was being included due to his leadership as much as anything else - yet he's not captain?

Medhurst has had a bloody good year, think he's right.

Hille was close to if not the best ruckman all year, yet didn't make it - so by default Sandilands is a bit lucky.

My vote for luckiest is Richardson.

As a forward, he wouldn't make the first five KPP or tall forwards. As a midfielder he wouldn't make the first dozen.

McVeigh has tearing Morris a new one in the first game, before he did his hamstring. He had a lot of the ball in the midfield before going forward and taking 2 contested marks in a short periood of time, directly apposed to Morris, and kicked goals on both occasions.

Having said this, Morris was definately a deserved AA selection.
