McIntosh is a number 9 draft pick with 3 good years of developement in him. he is going to blossom next year, so if you think that pick 17 alone would get him then you are being delusional. Many North fans regard him a better tap ruckman than Hale.

Well good luck with him blossoming for you guys next year. The only thing delusional on here is you thinking you'd get a pick that high for him, let only 17 & 19!! By the way, how are Johnny Hay and Jade Rawlings going? U clown

And best of luck to Walker, Murphy and Gibbs getting butchered at the clearances next year.:thumbsu: I'm sure that will make them want to hang around long term.

Every forum has its knobs, you are obviously the Carlton equivalent.

And the North onballers like Wells and Harris really dominated this year with the outstanding tap ruck work of Hale and McIntosh:thumbsu:

I don't really see the need to do that. The majority of the Carlton people seem to be capable of fair, intelligent and mature discussion. You would do well to watch and learn a thing or two from them.

CARLTON WILL TAKE GIBBS , they must take gibbs .. and you are right if carlton do take leunberger he will have to but on ATLEAST 15 - 20 kg looking at his picture in the Herald Sun , he looks like a match stick if carlton put him in first match straight into the ruck it would be like a comedy movie ..

Your kidding aren't you? That picture was very very interesting... he has big legs! compare him to essendons saviour paddy ryder and he has moster legs. The only thing he lacks is about 10-15 kgs in the chest but what do you expect from a 17 year old? He would play the most of next year, wont be a superstar as he will be lacking the bulk but potentially he could add 5 kgs this summer and 5 next summer all of a sudden 2008 he dominates... not a bad timeline if you ask me.

I have a feeling the choice isnt as clear cut just yet. In the end the strength of this draft seems to be mid fielders so why use pick 1 on an abundance resource... hit the specifics first and then worry about the mid fielders... remember sheldon, johnston and williams are all mid fielders/flankers so it would be a shame to not see the blues grab burger and probably N.Brown with 1 and 17!

So because i disagree with you im immature and unfair. Logical argument. All i stated was that in the Super Draft there's no way in hell you'd give up 2 top 20 picks for a player who has fair from proven himself at the top level. If that makes me as you stated, a knob, then i guess ill have to take it on the chin!!

yeah but the reason for everyone saying carlton is going to draft leunberger is because we dont have a ruckman , so why draft him ? he wont be able to play first game anyway because he is too small .. and we cant rotate him because we dont have a good enough player to go 1st ruckman , the choice is 100 % clear cut and we will hear on draft day : CARLTON 1st PICK : BRYCE GIBBS fullstop thats it ..

I agree we will take Gibbs... it wont be a mistake but the pick could be better spent on Berger. Its not that we DONT have a ruckman we just dont have the depth for the future. Niether gibbs nor Luenberger will solve our midfield or ruck problems instantly but within one or two years they will be dominate there is no questions about it. This years draft there is 3-4 good talls, that is very very rare. There is and will always be plenty of good midfielders out there that is the case every year, i suggest berger should be no 1 but as i said earlier Gibbs will be number one.

i understand what your saying but , i want you to understand my point , by taking gibbs we will be adding more depth to our midfield we will have , 2 first pick midfielders in Murphy , and Gibbs , we will have Stevens , Kouta , Simmo , Walker , Bentick ect .. and if were going to take a player and try and work on him and let him develope we should use a higher pick , i mean cox was no number 1 draft pick he was actually rookie listed .

I see you point and I agree we need more depth but in terms of talls they generally make up say 15% if that of the draft. So when you get 3-4 very good ones you need to jump on board. What we do need is a super quick good skilled mid fielder. That isnt Gibbs. He is similar to murphy fast, not quick, not super quick yet has good skills...

That is what we need to get a super quick midfielder with good skills. The speed is the key, he doesnt have to be an in and under we have the benticks walker types who will do that.

I hear what you are saying but there is still a big difference between a good midfielder and a fantastic midfielder. Stevens is a good midfielder and Judd is a fantastic midfielder. Even though they are both good there is a massive difference between them (by the way I'm not saying gibbs is as good as judd, I'm just using him as an example).

We have to take Gibbs number 1. If we could trade Thornton for pick 6, I know it is Highly unlikely, we maybe able to get Burger then, (also highly unlikely as probably gone by then), that'll be ideal situation though if we don't keep Thornton.
Remember, this is the best draft for years and any team could pick up a supestar with any pick. Luenberger needs at least 2 years to develop and I am sure he will be a gun, but we can not give up a perfect opportunity to take Gibbs who will also be a superstar, remember our arch rivals will snare him if we don't. I know alot of people wont renew their memberships if we don't take Gibbs and we can't have that.
Murp, Gibbs and Simpson in 2 years will be just as potent as Judd, Cousins and Kerr are now.
