Luke Ball has left St Kilda.
This could make pre season draft very interesting.I would love to get him but doubt this will happen.
It might enable us to grab Thorpe or another highly rated uncontracted player.

That will depend on which club he wants to get to. If he wants Melbourne it will be PSD. If an essondon type club he might risk National draft if they are prepared to use a very early selection

Will nominate for the ND and wont last past pick 30 (Collingwood)

Has stated he is chasing a 2 year deal worth 1 mil, thus hopefully ruling out essendon, brisbane etc from picking him with pick 25-29.

Not a bad PSD for the first time in a few years.

Ball, Thorpe, McDonald, McPhee (maybe).

Haven't heard boo from McDonald lately, whats the go there?

This is from a few weeks ago, it's the last article I've seen on Macdonald

Basically, he is willing to move to Perth and was scheduled to meet with us when he got back from his holiday. I don't know how that meeting went though, I haven't heard anything. Looking very likely we'll get him though

Ball apparently can go ND if he nominates today according to the posts on the MB.

We are not in the ball park but it will make draft day very interesting.

I'm led to believe it is to late for him to nominate for the ND.
Definately going in the National Draft not the PSD. If he went in the PSD he would risk Melbourne, Richmond and Fremantle picking him up, i would say the 3 clubs would be able to pay the 500k price tag.

If he goes ND no one will want to give away their early picks. He will still have to watch the demons tho as they have a mountain of picks 1-20ish

you know i just thought of something.... with luke ball going into the national draft, and essendon having pick 26, collingwood having 30, it is a near certainty that ball will be taken by one of those two... effectively this will bring our draft picks forward one position as the club who picks ball is bypassing a youngster... say ball is picked at 26, our pick 36, becomes 35 etc etc.... interesting and a good thing for us.... maybe this will allow us to have a crack at a young KPP which we otherwise would not have :thumbsu:
