people dont throw themselves at the ball the way Ball does if their not committed to the cause imo. A pretty negative op imo.

Will forever be remembered a Collingwood premiership hero.

The guy sacrifices his body, week in - week out for our football club.

We love him and he knows that. I have no doubt his heart is with us.

The OP is looking at this way too hard.

On another note, does ant1 else think Ed's son looks a little like Tooves......Maybe a future controversial father son:D

We said the same thing! might explain why he was (prior to 2010) getting a game each week when everyone was asking how :) Ed's love child is now a Collingwood premiership player?? Controversy:D

Luke Ball quote from yesterday... "Ross can stick that up his a$$"

Although publicly he mentions he has full respect for the saints, I can tell you right now, behind closed doors he is sticking back to the saints. It will come out today at Mad Monday after a few

Such a great bloke he is. His team mates arnt at fault for the way Ross treated him. He has played with Stkilda for a very long and had great mates there, he also experience a GF loss with most of them last year and he knows how they would be feeling. I am sure he is over the moon becuase he is a premiership player at the club he supported as a kid and I must say he showed real class after the siren and I am so proud we have him at our club, the bloke is just pure class.

I know its already been said a hundred times but the man is class through and through. Conducted himself that way out of respect to his former team mates. Long after his retirement he will be remembered as a Collingwood premiership player not as a former saints player.

I think it was a case of absolute satisfaction. There was no need to carry on...internally he was very satisfied.

Watch the vision of him walking from the stage after receiving his medal. He grabs it with his right hand and pumps his fists.

He also wore his GF jersey onto the stage after the game on top of his shirt. He did not want to take off the top.

I'm sure there were mixed feelings...however he has a lot of self-satisfaction about what he has achieved. He is not the sort of guy to carry on about it.

Nick Maxwell also said how Luke Ball talked after the game in the middle of the MCG when they were all alone...and he said Ball was grateful for the opportunity and for the boys accepting him.

I reckon Ball was one of the most satisfied players post game...and I respect him for not taking his celebrations overboard

It's great that we've won the premiership and all, but there's an elephant in the room and I'm gonna be the one to point it out.

2 weeks ago I was in love with Luke. I even started a thread on it here.

After today I'm not really sure his heart is with the club. I didn't see him smile after winning the premiership. He didn't once refer to himself as associated with Collingwood, ie 'we'. It was always 'they'. Nor did he say he was happy for himself - just for 'them'. He looked pretty torn, I thought. Very uncomfortable with the situation.

He was pivotal in us winning the big one, from actual effort to the knowledge and experience he brings to the youngsters. It is the only negative about a day like today.

How did your opinion turn into a rumour? This is a SH!T thread, and an insult to a great servant at our club.

sorry to butt in guys, but i think Luke Ball showed incredible character in the manner in which he handled victory. You are wrong to undersell him.

I think from Ball to Malthouse to the nearly all supporters have been very humble in victory and you will find most neutrals do not begrudge your well deserved victory.
