Should have been a 50 metre penalty. Luckily for the Dogs they goaled anyway.
Yep - not reportable for me, just two guys going at it but Breust got there a slightly late.
Certainly not suspension worthy.

My initial thought was it looked bad (hence the reaction from Libba) but given the lack of damage, there will be nothing in it. Breust wouldn't have wanted to do that to someone with a tendency to concuss, as he did leave the ground and make contact to the head - but nothing will come of it.

Amazing how this incident is brought up but no threads about the Jacobs incident.

Shows how biased some fans are.

Edit: how about instituting a rule for a 1 week ban for anyone that posts a thread trying to get a player suspended, where the tribunal doesn't even hand out a fine?

Only if there is a much longer ban for massive over-reaction to postings and subsequent accusations of bias against certain supporter groups....

On the first page of this forum alone, there are at least 5 threads of complete overreaction where the player involved didn't even get a fine.

Let's keep the umpiring forum to actual issues.

Such as #freekickbulldogs, McLean's dodgy high frees and how the Doggies are allowed to get away with so much throwing and dropping the ball.

Breust was rightly cleared as it was a simple marking contest with unfortunate head contact to both players.

It wasn't even assessed by the MRP.

Edit: Anyone trying to get a player suspended in a contact sport for no reason is just as bad as someone wishing injury on a player.

What a load... Left his feet, flushed him on the chin with his shoulder before the head clash, and not looked at.

But hey, Ruggles cops a fine for a tummy tap on Rioli and Hodge gets nothing for his on Selwood so I guess the precedent was set.

Pretty much everyone here, but you, thought he'd get off, but yeah the AFL is corrupt.

You keep saying he hits with his shoulder first but I have watched the incident from three different angles and in slow motion and I only ever see the head clash?

Even when we lose some Geelong fans are so headf$#kd they cant help themselves. I dare say, despite it being an unusual place to be, most Hawthorn fans have moved on and are now wondering what tricks Clarko has instore for us for 2017.
