Traded Luke Dunstan

Played well against the Giants with 19 disposals and 5 tackles . Also included a great goal from near the boundary line , on the wrong side for a left footer , set shot from close to 50 metres out . Surprisingly started on the bench at the start of the game , not sure why given his great form recently.

RD6 v Hawthorn

Another solid game by dunstan. He ended with 19D, 13 kicks and 6 handballs. His disposals efficiency was disappointing, but did a great job on stopped Tom Mitchell in the second half.

RD8 v FREO

Dunstan returned to some good form this week out west. Finished the game with 26 disposals (14K, 12H) and 4 marks. His tackle numbers were also significantly pleasing, with 9 for the game. 591617.jpg

RD9 v Collingwood

A career best game from our boy Dunstan. He finished with 32D (11K and 21H), 5 tackles and 5 clearances. He spent time in the midfield and across half back this week. In this s**t season, our boy keeps doing us proud.

RD10 v Richmond

Not a game to remember for Dunstan. He only managed the 10 Disposals (6K, 4H), 3 marks, 3 clearances and 1 tackle. He only played 58% game time after injuring his shoulder in the 3rd quarter. He did return to the field but considering his history with shoulder injuries, the news can only be bad. Fingers crossed he will be good to play next week.

Luke Dunstan missed the Saints’ second trip to Perth with a shoulder knock sustained in the Round 10 loss to Richmond.

The big-bodied midfielder will bring his trademark courage and hardness at the ball, which could prove pivotal against a Swans midfield lineup renowned for their attack on the footy.

RD12 v Sydney

A solid 22 disposals (14k, 8h) for Dunstan in his return game. Also laid 6 tackles and had a team high clearances. This was a game to forget for the whole team.

RD13 v Gold Coast

A less prolific game this week for our man Dunstan. Ended with 15 disposals (8K, 7H), with 11 of them contested. Also managed 4 clearances, 5 tackles and 3 I50s. But we don't care about his stats tonight, but we won!

Rd 15 v Melbourne

A solid performance from Dunstan who ended the game with 16 disposals (9k, 7h). He also managed 4 tackles and 3 marks in a gusty win against the heartless Dees. The highlight of Luke's game was his disposal efficiency, at 93.8%, showing he is working hard on one of his biggest deficiencies.

Rd 16 v Port Adelaide

Luke bounced back to form this week again Port Adelaide, producing his best game since his return from injury. He ended the game with 23 disposals (8K, 15H), 5 tackles, 5 marks and 1 goal from a set shot. His disposal efficiency was disappointing, only managing 56.5% but his attack on the ball and influence around the ground was up on recent weeks.

RD17 v Carlton

Dunstan returned to his early season ball winning form this week finishing with 28D (13K, 15H), 4 marks and 5 tackles all from only 53% game time. He underwent a concussion test in the first quarter, but passed and was able to return to the field put in a strong performance. The highlight of his game was a massive tackle in the second quarter, which was reminiscent of his mentor Lenny Hayes.

I don’t get the criticism he seems to cop by a bunch of big footy saints fans . There always seems to be someone who wants to trade him or drop him. I think he one of our most consistent midfielders over the season so far. He could be a future captain imo.

He's tracking about as well as Armitage was in his 5th season, abeit that Armo got far less games when he was younger.

RD18 v Richmond

A disappointing performance from the whole team against Richmond, with Dunstan ending with 21 disposals (10K, 11H). He also managed 6 marks and 3 clearances. On the upside, his disposal efficiency improved with 76.2%. A tough assignment next week against GWS, but our man Dunstan is up to the challenge.
