Luke Edwards Father/Son Discussion

Looks like we are accumulating late picks in next years draft... pontetnial father son and/or academy matching?

Right now, Edwards, and Borlace are our two most likely.

I think he will nominate. At the end of the day it’s still his only guaranteed way of staying in SA.

Not only that, but he's involved with our academy, can build a relationship with Nicks/coaching staff a year earlier/get sucked into the culture.

With us, there are guarantees he doesn't have elsewhere. Which could be either a positive, or a negative depending on us.

Matthew Nicks' appointment is a very big positive in regards to young Luke Edwards....Tyson having given Nicks his seal of approval in the media last week.
Club is bigger than any individual.
Tyson has been a flog in recent times, can't get his heas around that his eldest son isnt afl quality.

No matter how much of a flog he is, it’s worth our time pissing in his pocket just to get Luke (if he’s looking the goods). Then can tell him to take a hike

Not quite. We have just accepted that our clubs culture, and the communication with coaching staff was ratshit, but then think Tyson may not of had a legit gripe with how his son was handled?

So hows Luke tracking.?
Still got the goods?
Top 10 prospect if as expected he moves from half back where's he's mainly played to date into the midfield in his top age year. Looks the goods to me.

Most importantly, it's plainly clear that Jackson was/is not up to the level. The Edwards family may have gradually accepted that realisation.

Or he thinks the world of his son and couldn't see that he's not at the level.
