Been an interesting year from Luke this year.

Was definitely underdone coming into the championships, had played only 2 games in around 2 months leading into it, and alot of people have been talking of a ongoing knee problem he's been managing throughout the year.

Started with an absolute bang in his debut game in the VFL with 30 disposals and a couple of goals against Port Melbourne, before going quiet for the middle part of the season including the championships, noticeable was his lack of pace during this period.

However, like the TAC Cup finals where he was probably on par with Jackson Macrae as the best player of those finals, he's really stood up for Werribee in the VFL finals so far. Was BOG last week in Werribee's elimination final win over Essendon with 27 disposals, 11 i50's and a goal, he backed that up again today with another close to BOG performance in Werribee's big Semi-Final win over Casey with another 27 disposals, including a 60m bomb in the 3rd quarter.

Talk around the traps is it's highly likely North will use their first pick on him, however, it's not as clear cut as most think, those in the know, believe it's only down to 1 or 2 clubs considering that bid, as a few have to 100% keep those first picks for trade week, and other players they have their eye on.

I can see us bidding on him. Is the type of player we need and (if all the reports are true) is worth pick #5. Frees up The Cannon and /or Swallow to play more in the midfield.

Whatever happens, North will get a bargain. I rate him top 5 in terms of talent. I hope we bid, as I'd love to have him, but nothing will come of it anyway as North will still take him.
