im pretty surprised that Mitchell got the lash. Looks to have a few attributes to make him a winner and have been slowed by injury. on the other hand, he had a run at it this year and didn't show much in the two's so why persist. sad to see

Squidda & O'Keeffe kicked 3 goals each in a practice match for North Adelaide today.
ROKET is the one who could have been a player. **** injuries. The fact the club kept him on as a rookie suggests he was rated. Not fast, but a big body and the stereotypical left footer who can kick the skin off the ball. Wasn't scared to his put head over the ball.

He had a couple of really good games in the VFL last season when played as a midfielder/wingman, but it was noticeable that his long list of injuries had restricted his mobility/pace somewhat.

Would have been good a sub with his kicking skills and versatility. Broadbent came on and hit up Gray last week.

You never know. If ROK can keep healthy this year & show what we know he can do, a rookie spot might be open.

Squidda kicked 4 goals in North Adelaide's Round 1 win over the Crows' SANFL team. ROK went one better & kicked 5 goals & was named best on ground.

Joseph named in the best players for Glenelg, who were well beaten by Sturt.

Is it against the rules to re-rookie a player once they have been on the rookie list for the maximum amount of time? Had such high hopes for ROK.

Who knows - we could keep an eye on him like we did with Cachia and get him back to the club once he has had a decent run without injury.
I would have been happy to delist him and then re-rookie him for this year. He'd have to be better than what John Anthony dished up on Sunday arvo.

Anthony was frustrating to watch, but he did ultimately kick 3 goals & by playing deep forward allowed Casboult to work further up the ground & provide a target for his teammates.

Anthony got his hands on so many marking contests, but struggled to hold on to the ball. It didn't help that he flew from behind a number of times. It will be interesting to see how he & Waite work together should they both play in the forward line at the same time.

Squid kicked 4 goals (3 in the last) to help North Adelaide beat Norwood in the SANFL Anzac Day clash.
