Luke Parker vs Ollie Wines

Based on that, I'd pick Ollie Wines in a heartbeat.

However, Luke Parker did have a better season in 2014, but also had 30 games on Ollie.

In terms of overall career, this to me suggests that Ollie is slightly better than Parker currently.

So yeah, I'd choose Ollie.

Parker is one of the best midfielders in the competition at 22.

Wines is a player that they are trying to bring up to that level.

Surely you'd take the one that is already there with youth also on his side, there is always the small chance that Wines will stagnate.

Based on that, I'd pick Ollie Wines in a heartbeat.

To be fair, Wines was starting player while Parker was the sub quite often.

Wines had 76.6% TOG while Parker was 57.4%

I'd probably go Luke Parker just for his marking up forward. Very similar to Bartel in that regard,superb overhead.

Tough choice and you really can't go wrong with either but I would take wines, even though parker is a slightly more established player at this point in time.

You can't exactly go on the basis of exposed form either as Wines made a quantum leap in only his 2nd season so whose to say he won't replicate, or even surpass last years output all together?

Probably take Parker but both boys are mighty impressive.

I'm happy where Wines is at, the semi against Freo did it for me where Fyfe was having a good game and Wines went on him at half time and cleaned him up (numerous contested possesions and 3 goals in that half). As Parker is 2 years older also adds to my argument and I'm not saying I wouldn't have Parker in a heartbeat either.

You are joking right? Parker has produced more than Wines and is also young so it's definitely a valid argument. I'd have Parker as I think he has more weapons than Wines. For the record, Ablett and Buddy are generational players, Wines and Wingard are both very good youngsters both who are not yet elite and they have 1 AA and 1 B&F between them. For what it's worth, this current PA team currently have zero 'once in a generation' type players on their team.
