Selwood's 2014 is really getting blown out of proportion.

The alternatives people are proposing aren't compelling.
Unless you are star struck regarding Joel Selwood, or only value congested work, like the umps did in regards to Priddis.

Parker and Boak were pretty close in 2014, but I would have Parker slightly ahead, Selwood just ahead of Parker.

Boak's leadership is huge though. He lifts all around him, brings others into the game, kicks the clutch goals and pulls out the clutch final quarters. Look at any one of our numerous comebacks last year, and it's Boak involved in the centre clearance. Much as I'm no Selwood fan, he's a similar story. Can't just look at raw stats for these kind of players.

On Parker v Wines, they're at different stages of development still. Ollie, as good as he was last year is still quite raw- he had yet to develop his body and fitness into something resembling what we'll see long term, he still only played reduced time and as a second year player was managed accordingly. This year we'll see him build his outside game and develop a more well-rounded playing style - Voss has been a massive influence already on this. Bit premature to judge him against an absolute cracker player who's had another couple years in the system.

Parker has gone past Ollie this year, which ks no real slight on Wines, but as it stands right now I'd have Parker as the second best player in the comp (after Fyfe) based on this season's performances, he has been magnificent.

Would take more than a shattered leg to stop him. Both wines and parker are exceptional players. I like parkers ability to go forward and hurt teams, but im also tipping wines has yet to scratch the surface of his contested ball talent

Bit of a stretch even saying hanners is the second best player in the league. However i would take parker over hanners everyday of the week

Parker down on form, possibly injured. Wines huge start to the year but has tailed off slightly.
