He gets a tag fairly often so that indicates he is rated. Yeo was getting off the leach so teams switched to him and then Shuey explodes.

Imagine having a Kelly or Conilgio to split the tags between Shuey, Yeo and Gaff.

Big/ inside beast are overrated. We won a Gf without one, so did the dogs and hawks never had one during their hay day. The media wankfest for them is laughable.
 
Shuey has the name recognition after the Norm and now he's having the season to match it.

He's had enough eye catching 3-vote games to frank (yuck) his form, cementing his reputation. And perhaps more importantly his numbers look solid.

27 odd touches, nearly six tackles, 6 and a half clearances, high inside 50s and nearly 6 score involvements a game. They stack up.

I can't remember him having this good a run with injury. Consistency is so important.
 
Amazingly he gets underrated due to his consistency imo. His ability to kick up a couple of gears in the clutch or when needed to is awesome and it detracts from the fact he is a fine footballer. Just Shuey god-mode makes regular shoe look like a pleb

The classic rover's goal close to half time in the GF probably gave us the belief we needed to run over the top of the Pies.

He's an A-grader. Sure, maybe not as talented as Dusty or Danger but he definitely propels the team to greater heights.

He is definitely.rated by opposition and as our best mid will get the tag but I think across the industry as a whole he isn't talked about in the same company as Dusty Pendles Danger etc. IMO but he is in that echelon.
 
Sidebottom gets sooooo much reconition for being duel side and damaging by foot . He basically gets kissed on the dick every time he kicks one on the non preferred.

Shuey is not only as dangerous by foot he also has a much better contested game and explosive out of stoppages .

Just no recognition because he doesnt average 28+ possessions and plays for West coast .
