I'm sure they're not lying about Glandular fever but it wouldn't suprise me if they were downplaying the severity of it or how long he'll be out for. It wouldn't be the first time.

Had it too when I was a teenager and it knocked me for six for about two months. From it I had a really weakened immune system and got everything going around for about two years. A normally minor cold would leave me in bed for a week.

Got it about a month before my Year 11 exams, it stuffed me up solidly. Spent most of that summer's holidays lying in bed or on the couch. Never watched so much TV in my life.

A lot of people get Chronic Fatigue Syndrome afther glandular fever , i did, and the best advice to avoid this is to take your time with this disease, dont push yourself to hard to early and when u feel well again and you think your fine, give yourself another month. Play this one safe you dont want CFS
I was just reading about it and apparently you can still be a carrier months after your symptoms. Any chance he got it of McGinnity??
