I am pleased to advise I have been retained as Mr Sayers PR representative.

For those that may not know I have a notable record in both the national and international sphere and across;

I am confident Mr Sayers hacking defence will prove equally successful.
It's a bit disappointing that Mr Sayers or his representatives have yet to trot out the old "defend these allegations vigorously" type of line.

As distinct from defending allegations without vigor ...

With the unlikely exception of Kane Cornes (I guess a broken clock is right twice a day), the mainstream media have been weak about this story.

I am reminded of the Talia brothers;

However, there was no evidence of any of these text messages, with Michael losing his phone while on holiday in Bali and Daniel deleting them.

And wag gate in the UK

The judge also asked for the mobile phones of Vardy and her agent Caroline Watt to be searched. Watt said she had accidentally dropped her phone into the North Sea during a family holiday in Scotland. Vardy's copy of the messages were said to have been lost during a failed backup when Vardy's technology expert "[forgot] the password which he used to encrypt the material"

I don't know if Sayer is still in Italy, but I'm tipping a boat trip on Lake Como before his return. :think:

This should be the simplest case to solve. Even the most basic IT investigator could find the IP that posted it and it’s quite likely the absolute majority of people wouldn’t be using a VPN whilst overseas, especially if it’s something just off their phone.

On the flip side, being “hacked” but still able to access your account to say you’ve been hacked is unlikely. But from my own personal experience on Twitter/X, an old account I had was hacked but I was able to log in. My name was changed, everything deleted etc and random things posted, but I was able to just deactivate it (never really used it anyway).
Edit: forgot to say that this was like 5 years ago, don’t think it’s possible these days due to needing multi-factor authorisation etc

But to do all of that within minutes? Yeah I dunno, even if you have notifications on, it’s a bit suss.

IP is the key with this one, but I expect a quiet resignation in the next few weeks

Solid take. The more he opens his mouth, the more he looks like a (pardon the pun) dick. He can instead sit behind his lawyers, have an official statement released along the lines of, 'for the best interests of the Carlton FC, and preventing continual speculation across the season etc.'. The specifics and details don't get publicly aired that way. From the sounds of the AFR anyway, he's got enough on his plate. Seems to be that since he started Sayers Inc, turnover has been a continual issue.

But, as soon as it becomes a criminal matter with the police involved, wouldn't the integrity unit's role essentially be "Thanks Sarge, give us a yell when you've got to the bottom of it."
I would think so, it’s purely a governance thing.

Club can say they notified the AFL (not our problem)

AFL can say they are waiting on the police (not our problem either)

Everyone has an excuse to do nothing (and hope that Sayers sees the writing on the watch and steps down so nobody has to do anything)

I doubt it will be an open book in terms of handing over device to be looked over.

I reckon it will be a ‘we contacted X but they are unable to provide what we need’

Engaging legal counsel doesn’t mean much.

If it's the same firm that got the Patty Cripps and Carlton supporting bottle thrower's charges dismissed, then he's laughing.

My guess is as its not a police matter, and no complaint from the recipient, then there is no avenue to even investigate what IP address sent it, whether multiple people logged into his account. And I think he knows this, and will defend this til the cows come home. But the rank and file footy fan knows what happened and I doubt Carlton members will cop it

From tax leaks to dick leaks.

This bloke is not a good dude.

Belongs in prison.

People get jail time for tax avoidance in the six figure territory.

He was the head of an organisation that engaged in a conspiracy to enable tax dodging that could have (and does, in the case of multinationals) run into the billions.

They’re conmen, simple as that.

The "it was someone else" excuse sounds like a good red herring to me. Anything to keep a high-profile job and money 💰. Whatever it takes.. Even throwing a family member under the bus if needed.

No facts, just my opinion.

From murdick press
Banking heavyweight JP Morgan Australia chair Robert Priestley has refused to back Carlton Football Club president Luke Sayers amid a lingering scandal over the Blues boss after a picture of a penis was posted on his social media at a time he says the account was hacked.
Mr Priestley, who chairs the local arm of global bank, is Carlton vice-president and considered a contender to take on the running of the club amid the turmoil surrounding Mr Sayers.
