Wowee, I mean I've always thought he was as dodgey as , but, what on earth does this say about the AFL clearing him?
This is turning into just as big an embarrasment for the league as it is for Sayers.
No doubt, we can do without his type at the club but he was kind of getting things moving so I hope there is some sort of decent replacement. Never a dull moment at Carrrrrrrrrrrllllllton.

Hit the nail on the headFor anyone surprised, read The Boys Club by Mick Warner.
In the words of a former Carlton CoachNonsensical, can only be a whitewash yet again from AFL, unbelievable.
if it was a known family member or associate that posted the pic, isn't that a crime? (revenge pr0n laws)
Does it though?Welp that’s basically told us it was him that posted it. Stepping down is either a bit of self awareness on his part or a condition of being “cleared” by the AFL. Damage control as per usual at AFL house.
They do have that amazing ability. The AFL have somehow come out of this scandal looking like bigger knobs than Sayers.
Thinking the satire was a bit over the top, needed a Nathan Poe sign off. We’ve all sent **** shots here. So what. Get a load of the mob going after Sayers, the man was chasing the snitch - he just happened to get stitched.
The keyboard warrior Facebook comment mob win again. Tall Poppy syndrome in this country at its finest, take down and demonise the successful Aussie man.
Never done it. Never had to.We’ve all sent **** shots here. So what. Get a load of the mob going after Sayers, the man was chasing the snitch - he just happened to get stitched.

7 puns in 2 lines. You're leading so farWhilst some say this has been a hairy one, personally I reckon it’s not hard at all. He can’t retain his position. As it stands, he has chosen to fall on his sword. For the AFL to clear him, well that’s a bit soft.
So why hasn’t this person been publicly charged? Only reason they wouldn’t have been is if they’re close to him and he’s chosen to fall on his sword for them (and why would he given what they’ve done).Does it though?
Certainly there seems to be no strong denial that it's him in the picture - when that would be the first thing he would rush to say, IMO. A very strong denial that he didn't post it, however.
If it was posted as a revenge, it is an exquisitely humiliating take down of this guy. He is rich, with a high-profile footy club role, holidaying in Italy, etc. etc., then one tweet up for 12 minutes...everything that really matters in terms of his public life is gone, this is what he will be remembered for, irregardless of what came before or after. It's evil genius even..would not like that person as my enemy!

Clearly his position was untenable and today's ruling gives the AFL a win by seeing the back of him and Sayers a win by not having his name tarnished with a black mark (as much as we can all raise our eyebrows).
I do wonder if there remains any scope for a police or Fair Work investigation, independent of what the AFL "investigated", should anyone want one.
In the words of a former Carlton Coach
“Don’t piss on my back and tell me it’s raining”
It's probably his wife or someone on the side of his wife that's posted it and he probably doesn't want it in public I'd guess. So why hasn’t this person been publicly charged? Only reason they wouldn’t have been is if they’re close to him and he’s chosen to fall on his sword for them (and why would he given what they’ve done).
If it’s someone else trying to take him down then they’ve done a piss poor job given he was able to take it down so quickly.
That leaves it being him and the AFL trying to save face, which is likely seeing as they have form in this area.
If he’s not guilty why is he stepping down?
I don't reckon old Temu Alex Perry will be running the show again down there surelyHe is still a director isnt he? Just not President?
And in 2 years he comes back cos he did nothing wrong
Yeah fair. Entirely guesswork of course, but could be his wife got wind of an affair and was pissed enough to out it like this? It's probably his wife or someone on the side of his wife that's posted it and he probably doesn't want it in public I'd guess.
There's also daughters and servants, friends and other visitors, the family dog... plenty of potential scapegoats to save Lukey's "reputation"Yeah fair. Entirely guesswork of course, but could be his wife got wind of an affair and was pissed enough to out it like this?
