Slayers now being sued by his own wife.

It is alleged that as part of the AFL Commission’s investigation into the nude photo scandal, Sayers provided the Commission with a statutory declaration that made several highly damaging and inaccurate claims about his wife Cate, her actions and her mental health.

Lawyers for Ms Sayers have commenced defamation proceedings in the Victorian Supreme Court, claiming her husband’s false statements have unfairly and significantly damaged her reputation in football and business circles.

Sounds like she is doing the George Constanza “Double Dip” and will have 2 sources of income.

1. This defamation case.
2. The divorce proceedings.

She should proceed with a quick resolution on #2 and get 50% of the pie. And then get another piece of him later when #1 gets into court, or mediation. Best of luck to her.
