I recon Tapscott best resembles Stewart Dew, A storng type with a penetrating leg, Good Half Forward, Good Half Back and if he can get some pace into his legs or the midfield is structured right could be a tremendous link man through the Center/Wing to pin point a leading Watts.

Fair call but he is a little fitter than Mr Dew I hope

That gets me excited.

Although I think he could play the S. Hurn role, he could also be a midfielder/forward which would give us a lot of versatility in our rotations.

In fact, I think our midfield could be an absolute nightmare for other clubs to match up on in the future, as we will have so many different types of players going through that part of the ground.
Exciting times ahead :thumbsu:

Spot on, a lot of our drafting over the last 3 years has been about getting a strong midfield with versatile types that can go either back and forward. This is the way AFL has gone with very few set positions and so many rotations. I'm excited.

Love this guy... really happy with this pick...
His agressiveness is awesome.. not to mention his kicking..

does remind me of a fitter young better version of Dew..

What a steal this kid was.

its gonna be like having two Colin Sylvias out there, and this one has no groin problems.

Bring on 2010.

Actually reminds me of Nathan Buckley, the way he moves, even
up till his kicking, I see similarities.

Thats not to say he will turn out as good - or even half as good,
can only hope though.

Tapscotts a deadset freak around goal, Its another string to his
bow - thats gone well and truely under the radar in 2009.
His 2008 championships, he was always a threat around goal, with
a touch of Stevie J about him.

Happy with this get.

Theyll get some fitness base into him and he'll rotate through the middle and even accross half back but predominatly forward of midfield. Bailey loves players who can kick it into he forward line. Probably wont last as long as others in the middle but he's a damaging player when hes got the ball - wherever he is.

Love his agression and hes a little cocky too. Goes out of his way to give it to opponents which is just what we need a bit of atm - a bit of mongrel.

Plays tall for his height and keeps his feet - my advice to Addam Maric is to focus on fitness big time and get yourself into the midfield coz this guy has a very similar game with maybe a few extra strings to his bow..
