the incident happened right infront of me. i would take the 1 and run

No but 1 week seems about right. Tapscott needs to learn how to match his excellent aggression with ball-winning instead of hitting guys late and lining up bumps instead of going for the ball.

I didn't think it was that bad, but I am sure they will encourage him to take the 1 match penalty.

Wasn't it only a week ago when someone posted saying none of our players get suspended? Slightly off topic, i cannot believe Beams (accidental umpire contact) got fined more than Hunt. (standing on Betts' hand)

MRP = farce. Especially re: umpire contact, and even more especially in these days of massive congestion around the stoppages.

Was punished on the field, quite harshly too.

No double dipping IMO.

The second 50 was for Garland tackling Sidebottom as the latter made his way forward to take the free kick (after the first 50 had been paid). At least that's what it seemed like, fair to say the crowd was up and about and chaos reigned for the moment.

The umpire caused that confusion though.

Most of the time when play is stopped like that there's no way they will allow you to run off and take advantage.

Collingwood favourtism.

No he wasn't trying to play on, but like any good AFL player he wanted to get to the mark as quickly as possible so that the Dees didn't have time to set up in defence. Favouritism? Certainly not, it was a stupid move from Garland, although it was probably brought on by the mass confusion.

Yeah. I reckon the umpires were just happy to restore order at that point.

Should have been two.

He's not playing good football and he's a blight on the side right now.

Hurts because I was a huge fan.

Could pick a worse game to be suspended for... and frees up a spot for Bartram. Will probably have to earn his way back into the side through Casey, hasn't been setting the world on fire this year.
