Wake up! He is not serviceable. He is useless footballer who by his own actions and performances has shown he can not cut it. Stop waisting games on this guy and give the experience to a younger player like Astbury, Elton or Griffiths. There is no doubt that Luke has some intractable inherent foibles. However, he is at least an experienced serviceable back up both forward and back. He is in my view a better deal than brad miller. We cannot afford to lose him if either of our two major forwards get injured. Although everyone just about makes out that Griffiths is the answer he has yet to perform. A few nick kicks. But no grunt as yet. Astbury is a total unknown and both to me are way off so far. The very flawed port Adelaide full forward would be an asset now perhaps? So, I vote to keep Luke and like most I hope that others make the play.

Well with his chicken legs if McGuane got any more 'waisted' he'd be fairly anorexic...
McGuane has been servicable as a backman in a young side being smashed every week...his 15 goals up forward for 9 games last year indicate his servicability...
Including his Indigenous game...and 2 NAB Cup games so far...
And given more time up forward...a position for which he was recruited...it is possible he may yet suprise us all...Kingy did...
Astbury is coming back from a serious knee injury...and may take all of 2013 to run himself back into some consistent form...McGuane is already running..
Griffiths...has those shoulders that may pop with the crash and bash at CHF or up forward...
but if he gets through this year without serious injury would be my choice for forward...McGuane is fit and already running...
Elton is still young and learning and has yet to kick a goal...McGuane can kick them...
AEdwards...who knows...McGuane again...
Pettard...maybe...and my choice to put pressure on McGuane...
Post and Miller...both gone...
So its McGuanes to lose...he's tough...durable...can take a mark...a total of 127 marks in 2009...and can kick a goal...
McGuane is a serious wake up call for other forwards who want to break into our side...that they need to put up some noteworthy performances..to be picked...
McGuane is not useless...he is a handy back up for our side for this year...
More like McGuane sends a message to the younger players that you can stuff up pretty badly; consistently poop yourself when the going gets tough and still get a game. Which he wont anymore. There is no way Dimma is going to go down that path. It leads to nowhere.

...Interesting...when it comes to McGuanes football performances for the Tigers...your mind rises to the gutter......
Well all you do is talk crap so I thought I'd better mention it some where.

...And now your making it all personal...is your use of 'crap' and 'poop' really all you got in relation to McGuane......
Cos really its a Forum for Football supporters and opinions not a kindergarten or a play school...
Come on buddy don't talk about " my mind and gutters" and then get on your high horse about being personal.. You get it?
sure does, its a win win really.Generates some strong feelings does our McG.
He's on the list and it's the start of the season, not the end.
How about we all hope we've underestimated the man and see him shine when/if he gets the chance?
If Astbury had finished last year with 15 in 9 this board would be filled with praise. McGuane does the job for us and we can't get him out soon enough?
He doesn't have to look pretty out there. He just needs to keep the third defender Accountable and provide defensive pressure, which he does well. We are not at a stage where we are gifting games for development. We are pushing to compete with the big boys. I'll be fully behind any player on the list who forces McGuane out of the side with strong performances at VFL level or nab cup. At this stage no one has done that IMO.
Grand finals are also not played in Feb or March , it's about winning enough games and having the best side available in September .If Astbury had finished last year with 15 in 9 this board would be filled with praise. McGuane does the job for us and we can't get him out soon enough?

I am not 'buddies' with a poster who rates McGuane's football performance for this Proud club... with the following posted words ...'sh*t'...'poop' and 'crap'...
Cos if your mind isnt in the gutter in relation to McGuane...please tell me and the forum where it is exactly...

So you were getting personal?
...Does anybody have Luke McGuan's statts so far in this game - how many has he kicked so far ?
