The word at inglewood is the commitee split 6votes to 4 the 6 said we can not recruit payed players that ment there were 12 senior players left at the club as the others had left through tafe and work place changes.
The problem is the league has got stronger and if you don't keep pace last saturday was the result 147 point flogging then the coach was critisised for not having a competive role on the sides performance so it now appears the lunatics are running the asylum. Time will tell whether this was right or wrong the big question is what if this lot have got it all wrong.

Josh Di Camillo is the bloke YCW picked up from Gisbourne..

Jamlil- Theres about 60-65 roughly. Which means every week about 20 or so miss out on a game. Great thing for the club!

If you're right pig skin, then Inglewood are as backward as they would have us believe. A club in desperate need of recruiting some quality footballers (which we all know costs money) decides that they can't recruit them. If it's because they have no money that's one thing but if it's because they choose not to spend it then they are doomed.

Inglewood under Abbott and Starr seemed to turn the corner both on and off the field. This would appear to be a significant backward step from a club that could ill afford it.

What a problem to have, envy of many i'm sure.

Birchy head to head with his old club, will be a good one to watch, should be interesting banter on and off the ground:) Pyramid have got a few injuries early will look forward to another week off to be set after the break, should get up in a danger game for them.

Fair call disco, Will find out if Marong are better then we think they are by 5pm tomorrow, they have started pretty well.

YCW have picked up a quality Bendigo FL player ... will announce next week once clearance goes through. Things looking good at YC... now all they have to do is win a game ;)

Calivil would have to be impressed Doc??

DiCamillo was being courted out at Calivil, even trained with them but ended up going to YCW and then got in the best players for the winning YCW side. .... ohhh, OUCH! ha ha

Does that McLean guy from Newbridge still play footy?? Was a pretty good player back in his day, remember him burning some Bridgewater blokes off one day, no one could keep up with him.

Hey guys have heard a few rumours going round that P/Hill are about to land ex Sandhurst player Mark fitzgerald. Would be an extremely handy pickup and would only make them stronger

thats the talk around town at the hill, also couple of last year players maybe returning to, which will help the club.

Matt stagg's best mate so possible. Injury prone, probably won't train during the week, just sit in the square... oh, and he won't come cheap. Good for PH overall, means Davies can play further out from goal permanently

they did play snr footy last year, not sure if there named for sat, would be handy as there will be a few missing this week, did'nt stick around tonight to listen to side.
One inclusion for the weekend is a player from last year, not a champion but will be servicable given a shortage of big blokes:thumbsu: frees up others to do some damage in their preferred positions. Sounds like a couple more looing for a kick, badly needed as the magoos are very light n for quality.
2 Head was that you flying home last night, quick!
Big test against Miti this week, they look to travelling very well so far.

Heard that the Heathcote recruiting boys had spoken to josh shaw and got some positive vibes, any one at serp give an idea if he is serious or looking for an update in his pay packet?

I'm not sure Serp would let themselves get outbid by the sounds of it. Offered one of our listed players 4 figures recently so they aren't letting up. They seem to have pretty much a new side just looking at it on paper.

clew, been out of contact 4 a few weeks

is it true gomez a. took bat and ball and went home. maybe prez as well. wot went on at inglewood central :(

Ray, wish I could help you mate but I'm out of the loop! I know that Abbott and starry resigned, heard that there was a few on the committee that weren't happy, so those two left due to lack of support. That's my knowledge from a bit of Chinese whispers.

Didnt see the whole game but it appeared that Pyramid had control for almost all of the game, what changes so much to have a side kick 9 goals to zip in the last????? Bridgy only had 8 at the start of the last!
Good to see Birchy get his mob over the line, maybe getting the right mix out there. Not easy to win out at windy flats!

Inglewood's in a tab bit of a pickle.....
29.14-188 BL Serpentinedef.Inglewood 12.10-82

Of course it would have nothing to do with the way Serp played

Remembering BLS probably deserved the chocolates over 2010 finals side YCW last week, but fell a bit short after a horrid first qtr, having 3-4 injuries and playing away...

Inglewood were leading last week against Calivil right up until sometime in the 3rd and haven't been blown away by good opposition despite what people thought they'd be like.

They have some work to do though no doubt...

Great result for Serp on the weekend ... mixes the competition up a bit.

YCW look to be hitting their straps ... Gard, Cronin, Doc O'Connell playing 2's and a few to come back from injuries
