Nah if he played a full game he would move up to the best game by a Crows player everMaybe he should start as sub again next week. He did it perfectly.

He certainly appears comfortable at this level though he will strike much tougher conditions against better opposition in future games, my only slight knock would be his disposal, tidy that up and we have a good player on our books.

Imagine how much more composed he, Kerridge and Brown would be by now if they had gotten decent time last year![]()
Yes he does as not only knows how to get ball in any situation but how to get out of trouble and use ball efficiently .Thought I saw a little bit of Lenny Hayes out there today. Anything remotely close to that level will be a great find
Taking a bloke under the Alternative Talent program doesn't count, in this instance.
Ohhhh I get it......
Geelong only recruit footballers but not athletes. ..... and when they do break this rule that blows away the argument it doesn't count.........
Bullshit. Geelong recruited an athlete that even Geelong fans said would only last 3 games.
Now he's let off the chain because he can run his direct oppenent ragged and still make position when required. No coincidence that in his last 2 games where he made good contributions, he was able to do so right through 4 quarters because of his massive tank and good speed across the ground.
But Geelong don't recruit athletes. ..... that's right.

Geelong apparently pick footballers over athletes.
They dont take too much notice in terms of athletic ability in drafts.
Lynch and lyons are footballers
FAITH said in drafts. Blicavs wasn't drafted.

Yes, Porps has been rubbish but the difference is that we know he can play well when it counts. The others we could pick we know won't - so what's the point? Crouch is a different case and as I've said, once fit I would have him in for Porps. Might only be a stay of execution for one or two weeks but you'd rather do that and if he happens to kick a few and get back on track - you beauty.
He's been poor since last year's finalsI'm not sure we do know that Carl...he's been poor for a long time and his best footy is probably pre-2009 so I think this would be a case of the head ruling the heart.
Maybe he should start as sub again next week. He did it perfectly.

He is a natural. Absolutely dominated the clearances when he got in. Not an in and under type player as such but if he gets his hands to it he seems to always find a target outside the stoppage and that's what we've been crying out for. Took a couple of the taps from Jacobs/Brogan out of the centre clean, one-grab, and dished it out before anyone else had even started to move. Brett James-like handballs to a target.
I'm really excited about this kid's potential for the rest of the year if he can stay injury free and we give him an extended run.
For player managerment, I don't think it is ideal to have the same sub on consecutive games as can lose fitness. Also, I would like to see Lyons given a full game to see how he goes, as he may not keep his place when Crouch comes back, but he may if he outperforms others (eg. say Mackay). We need to know that now!Maybe he should start as sub again next week. He did it perfectly.
