M = More Exposure
M = More Expectation/Excitement

Bulldogs supporters have known for sometime not just this season that we have some of the best young talent in the AFL.

However, after one good Saturday night game on free to air I was surprised at how many of my workmates and friends were impressed by our talent and great brand of footy even against a injury depleted opposition.

One comment I got from a North supporter was that our talent was as bright and easy to see as flashing neon lights and he was lamenting North's old list.

It is not often that I am down playing comments not wanting to go over the top. Most times I am defending the negative comments about us.

We need more exposure to free air Friday and Saturday nights next season and we need do every thing possible to cash in on this and grow our supporter base.

If this is truly our time for a prolonged period of success (if we continue work hard and have good run with injuries I am confident it will happen) then our administration need to have strategies to cash in and grow our supporter base.

I am sure that PG and the new CEO are licking their lips and will be prepared.

On the exposure front I'm constantly grateful / thankful that on AFL 360 in the background is running loops of the game V Sydney, and our logo. It's those sort of small things that help more than you think.

After that game I was in DFO in Essendon on the Monday and spotted this at Sporting House Direct:

When was the last time WE were the store display? I don't reckon even our '08-'10 run would've had it.

Nice, it's true though can't remember how many times my wife and i see football displays, be it coffee mugs, beer coolers, hats, bobblehead what ever and we both desperately search for a Bulldog one... majority of the time there is nothng. Same comment to each other every bloody time. "sold out", "yeah all the doggie stuff went straight out the door"... die a little inside...:(

Prime time free to air TV is a must to sell our brand off a low base. Eddy and the hawks keep banging on about rationalization of funds from the rich to the poor.

Well give us exposure prime time TV form next season when will possibly be the most exciting team in the competition will do more than anything in increasing our membership, sponsorship and improving our revenue.

Then we will not rely on the handouts for the bigger clubs who get prime time TV lots.

The time is now to make the finals and to do well in a prime time slot to market next season. A win against the pies in a night game would be a great launching pad for 2016.

Exactly, something has to give one way or the other. The "big" teams either give us some cash to even things out, or give us some FTA time-slots to play in. They can't keep whinging about having to give us and the other lower sides money while continuing to push our heads under water.

We deserve at least 2-3 Friday night games next year and one of them has to be against Collingwood, preferably at the MCG. Also vs. Crows at Adelaide Oval would be good. Perhaps one against GWS as they are yet to play on Friday night - big chance to build the rivalry :thumbsu:

The thing toward our advantage is that we play an entertaining brand of footy.
A fair bit of run-and-carry and forcing turnovers is entertaining footy to watch. Fans don't want to watch teams with a heap of stoppages, nor do they want team show are good at retaining possession and have a methodical approach to kicking goals (for all of Hawthorn and Freo's recent success, this is how they kick goals and why a casual AFL fan might not want to watch them)

But you know that guy who supports a different club, but isn't really an AFL fan, but watches the Friday Night footy every-second-week (we all know them, they're the guy who when talking about footy with a large group of people only sort-of-participates) - they won't mind watching the Dogs on a Friday Night for those above reasons.
