however, I am almost 100% sure that no-one outside Sri Lanka thinks that Murali is better than Warne...I am pretty certain Murali doesn't. No cricket lover with any idea can possibly vote ahead of Warne as the top spinner ever

Not sure anyone is after an argument...its just that Murali does play a high number of games against weaker opposition. There is no doubt the lad can bowl - certainly the biggest turner of an off break ever. Fantastic bowler despite his arm resembling a deep-fried chicken wing.

One thing I guess has to be said, is that he has never had a 500 wicket bowler (GDM) at the other end. If he had, then he would probably have taken a 1,000 by now.

yes I agree but warnie showed this series he doesnt need any pressure from the other end and can build pressure on his own which makes him so great

It would still be an interesting one to see the stats for Warne with GDM and without...I am sure they stack up as he is quite simply the daddy, but it would be an interesting one. I am sure Warne has got a couple of hundred on reputation so to speak, in that he builds pressure by taking the ball as most bats start logging-it when he comes to the crease.

Tool, what about all the years Warney played with his Shoulder about to fall apart and his fingers all messed up. Cant see Murali having many problems pitching it baseball style, can see a career over in the MLB afterwards.

Anyone who have watched Warnie and Murali throughout their careers cannot seriously say Murali is a better bowler than Warne

Stats are deceiving, Murali got 120 odd wickets against Zimbabwe and Bangladesh, Warne only 6

Even so, there are things stats don't tell ya, Warne is superior in almost every way

No, I was saying you cant complain about Murali playing the minnows when Warney has had plenty of chances but due to Drugs and being scared, he hasnt.
