ok the low down on the slats-gilly affair.

slats was in england after being dropped for the final test in 2001, and was dropped due to the break up of his marriage and other off field probs such as smoking marijuana in english hotel rooms, caught out by english commentator mark nichlolas.

after that tour adam and mel gilchrist stayed in london and slats went to europe (france, austraia etc) by himself as it had been paid for before stepanie slater returned home after the break up. from here slater headed back to londo to get some more tattoos and after he came out of the tattoo parlour he ran into mel gilchrist and hugged and kissed her while adam was in another shop over the road. apparently it all started from there !

ohhhhh wasn't this about warnie v murali....just show their stats with averages in each country......i wanna see murali's ave in aust and on the well prepared sri lankan tracks, especially kandy

The basics are that Warne made the top cricketers of the century because he has utterly transformed the game, practically single-handedly. The Gatt ball (if it was a pork pie he wouldn't have bowled him!!) started the aura that now surrounds the great one. Murali has never had that aura because he isn't as 'consumer-friendly' as Warney and because of his suspicious action.
In other words, he is black and he is from the sub-continent.

I wish that Murali would be given due credit for being such an outstanding champion of the game, and a humble champion to boot. Whatever issues with his bowling action, decisions have been made once and for clearing him of any problems. End of story. Let's enjoy both of these amazing players continue to make top class batsmen look like chumps for another few years.

I know somone who is good mates with Vaughan and says he is a top bloke, very funny, just wants to have a good laugh.

I didn't pick him as the type.

Even after a narrow 2-1 Ashes loss, Australia are rightfully still the top cricket nation. Until we are beaten on home soil, that mantle will remain with us. If England beat us next year, then they can say they are the best, no matter what the ICC rankings say at that point in time.

So given that Australia are the #1 nation, and have been so for an awfully long time, playing against us here would be the true test of a champion:

Murali v Australia in Australia: 2 tests, 3 wickets, best bowling 2/224 :thumbsd:

Do you all remember the last time Sri Lanka toured OZ for one dayers about 2 or 3 years ago? He faked an injury cause he was too scared of our crowds. The first game was in Perth, so i came up with the best shirt ever...

muttiah has NO BALLS

i am the coolest person ever, and that shirt was critically acclaimed by all on the night. Incidently, I also pioneered the Hoggy Hoggy Hoggy chant well before these english geezers took it away from me.
