I’m sure it’s been mentioned somewhere and there’s a lot to do before building begins but I’d assume they had a lot of it done in anticipation for the official go ahead. Will we see some construction this year?

Only excavations and the dismantling of the Goods Shed.

I must admit I was always a bit sceptical about an underground car park at a waterfront location, but time will tell.

This isn't adding up atm. Mac Point Development Corporation is saying the carpark is still going ahead, despite the fact there will be no way to access it

It was never required for the stadium anyway. Was just a way to make a bit more money on non-event days.

I think it's probably a case of there being a piece of the puzzle that isn't public knowledge yet.

Maybe this is why the carpark road isn't planned in yet, they need to choose the location for the substation first.

According to The Mercury "...testing rig for Hobart’s $1.13bn roofed stadium has delivered promising early results, largely addressing cricket concerns about light and shadows on the playing surface."

The tender winner for the earth works and relocation of the Goods shed will be announced in April

Anne Beach said yesterday construction won't start on the stadium until mid 2027.

Definitely a lot of surprised people down here in Tasmania after finding out the team won't play in the new stadium until it's 4th season. I heard a few say this will definitely delay when they buy a season membership for the team. This obviously also means the club will be restricted to just 12,000 seats for members down Hobart for the first 3 years.
