Rumour Macaffer for Graham

Collingwood are going to allow Macaffer go because of their salary cap there is no way they would trade him for another player it will be for picks only and we can only really offer them our third round pick so we would have to trade with another club to miraculously get another second round pick that might suffice.

Would like to see him at our club but realistically it isn't going to happen.

Could happen. Gus would be an upgrade on Woods. If Jolly goes down, Collingwood are left with nothing in the ruck department. Would probably leave us a ruckman short, but I think the club will be looking to pick up a prospect in the drafts regardless.

If Graham went to the Pies(please god let that happen)we would still have on our list....

Browne developing at Coburg and capable of playing if Maric got injured
Derickx is the unknown.......could be anything, should get a couple of chances if fit

EXcept they already traded that pick to GWS. Plus, we really need to try to keep one good draft pick for a quality kid. Would have to be a better player than mccaffer to do a first pick downgrade like that, especially in this year's thin draft.

i think with all this maric talk alot of us richmond fans have forgotten about derickx.

he deserves the chance to prove himself unfortunately he was injury riddled last year, but whenever i red the coburg reports when he played he always made some sort of an impact.

Id like our ruck to look like this in 1-2 years

I believe CC was quoted earlier today as saying that Browne is "our future". I didn't take it this is just because he's young. I'm somewhat skeptical too, but don't forget he's only 21. Apparently he performs well at VFL level, and he has some good attributes, so may come good.

He seems to struggle to cope with the size of his own body. This may come with time, as will a bigger engine (perhaps half the reason he seems to be falling over himself in games is simply because he's rooted!)

i agree with him unable to cope with his body at times he looks hunchbacked, although i have seen improvements and hopefully for the clubs sake he can really excel

Its because he has some heart, and really has a crack. He'll dive on the ball to get it out. But a man's gotta know his limitations. He's gotta learn that he's not a midfielder. He has improved his running since '10.

I just watched the dreamtime game, Browne was throwing his body around like a wrecking ball taking out players from both clubs. He certainly has a crack and can win a hitout, but he needs to adapt better to his body and think more. Which should come with pre-seasons and experince.

Oh and if the Pies are trying to offload salary cap issues (which has been talked out), they could well offload Macaffer for what would seem a bargain transfer. But then it comes down to what Macaffer is asking....

i heard almost the same thing literally an hour ago from a friend who is a pies supporter, but supposedly it's angus + a draft pick for macaffer.

i like macaffer to be honest, even though he tore us to pieces in a match in 2010
