Yes, in fact, racism is discrimination on the basis of race. Its the farking definition of the word!
The same way saying "that white/black/asian/african/middle eastern guy over there" is not racist, as you are not discriminating (assuming context is above board)

The key word in the post you quoted was 'active'. You seem to have missed it.

You assume a lot...

Well, I assume you have issues with multi-quoting, so can you possibly be more specific?

Jordan Lisle would have said right... I need to dress up like lebron james. I need basketball gear, basketball shoes, a headband and to make my skin darker to do so. How can I make my skin darker? Oh I know i'll use the specific item that is produced for that purpose...body paint.

Well, I hope he took the time to think that maybe the blackest paint possible wasn't the best idea. Apparently he didn't. It seriously looks like he's used boot polish.

You are making really serious allogations against Jordan...that he deliberately wanted to dehumanise black people. Now lets think about that accusation for a second. I think your act in itself is far worse than the crime you're accusing him of. You're actually calling someone a racist who most likely is not one bit racist on a public forum.

Actually, I'm not. So does your act of mistakenly calling me someone who has mistakenly called someone else who made a poor attempt at colouring his skin a similar shade to LeBron James a racist trump my initial disgraceful act?

I said it was in poor taste (or words to that effect) and that if he had his time again, I'd hope that maybe he would have done his costume in a more tactful way. I haven't said anything about Lisle as a person, other than he's pretty bad at Mad Monday costumes.

Also you obviously havent lived with a woman that uses fake tan....they make everything orange.

Guilty. My understanding is that you get what you pay for. And even a tanning job that does turn orange only does that after a bit of time has passed.

It doesnt matter whether its active, passive or what it is. If its not discrimination, its not racism. It might be bigotry but thats another story entirely.

Well, I assume you have issues with multi-quoting, so can you possibly be more specific?

You specifically said that you were assuming Lisle did this, and assuming that. And the indicated that he was being racist, therefore is a racist. Not exactly a long bow to draw.

Now you're an expert on body paint? I dont think theres a colour, theres yellow or brown. They dont come in skin colours...which is probably the real reason it was so dark.

You're saying a guy dressed up as someone is being racist, therefore is a racist. You're accusing him based on your reasoning alone and not that of any other reasonable, average person. You dont know him, you dont know his reasoning for dressing up as Lebron, you dont even know if he's allergic to fake tan and couldnt use it. You're assuming a lot about a person and essentially calling them a racist in a public forum. In fact, he could probably take legal action for defamation if he really wanted to persue it. (Which to me is ridiculous, but its true)

So because he went to more effort than some, hes bad at mad monday costumes.
You'd be saying the same thing if he dressed up as lebron and DIDNT colour his skin...

Guilty. My understanding is that you get what you pay for. And even a tanning job that does turn orange only does that after a bit of time has passed.
There is no tan that turns you from white to 'a darkish natural brown' in a short amount of time.

Geelong killed it yet again, some fantastic ones, selwood as king arriving in a bikie gang was the best IMO, jimmy a close second with the divers suit.

Incorrect. If you hold negative feelings towards a specific group of people because they belong to a specific race, that is racist, whether you are acting upon it or not.

You specifically said that you were assuming Lisle did this, and assuming that. And the indicated that he was being racist, therefore is a racist. Not exactly a long bow to draw.

That doesn't sound very specific to me. What I actually said was that presumably Lisle was trying to get a costume that would make him look like LeBron James. Talking about long bows...I'm really going out on a limb there. Now, if he's trying to look like LeBron James and he thought that colour was the best for him to go with, then, as I've said, I can see how someone would construe that as racist.

Way to extrapolate...Mr. 'You're assuming a lot about a person...'

'Allergic to fake tan': Someone was holding a gun to his head and he had to choose LeBron James, were they?

Legal action: You can not be serious...

So because he went to more effort than some, hes bad at mad monday costumes.

'More effort than some...' WTF? My whole point is that he went to stuff all effort and did a shit job.

Wrong. Unless you discriminate you are not engaging in racism.
Thinking it is not enough, sorry. Thats the dictionary and the law that says that.

Player X dresses in 'racist' costume. According to your definition that makes him a racist. Therefore you are calling him one.

My point was you have NFI why he chose it, why he chose the paint etc. Also there may not be 'other colours' so your once again presuming that he CHOSE one that made him look the most ridiculous.

Legal action: You can not be serious...

Its been done before. My father took someone to court because they called him a cheat at the local bowls club. He would never take you to court, but hes within his rights to.

'More effort than some...' WTF? My whole point is that he went to stuff all effort and did a shit job.

Google tells you that you can take pills that make your penis 3 inches longer. Do you believe that too?

Are you just doing the usual Geelong trolling [you are a Hawk fan] or are you really that dumb you don't get the gag of Selwood dressed up as Jake King and arriving in a "gang of bikies" ?

Perhaps read this

Yes, i go for Hawthorn so any negative thing I say against Geelong must be trolling
Its really not that funny that he rocked up as Jake king on a bike, I get the reference (how could you not?), it just isn't that funny. Like I said Bartel's was funny and I had a good laugh at that but Selwood's? Nah.

Boooooooooooooo

Media are going to be there anyway, so organise a 30m-1hr slot for them to get what they need and then media will leave them alone for the rest of the day. Smart really

As far as I'm aware, the understanding is: 'Fine, get your photos of us arriving, then can you please **** off and leave us alone and we promise we won't do anything to get ourselves arrested?'

The media know where they are as they're at the same place every year.
I guess that's fair enough. Although for the other clubs, the media seemed to rely on Instagram more than sending people along.

Yep and because of that casual approach, look at the dwarf burning opportunities they are missing!
