Nobody is going to do anything too amazing with the current use of smart phones that can record and take pictures. It's never going to be what it used to be back in the olden days.

Carlton are having their mad monday today for some reason. I wonder if Fev is in town and keen to catch up for a quiet beer?

St Kilda guys were playing lawn bowls this year, their mad Monday was pedestrian.

Lawn bowls isn't a bad day out and drinks are usually cheaper at lawn bowls clubs too.

It's actually a smart move for clubs to have their Mad Monday celebrations at a private room or club which is away from the general public and any potential trouble. When Manly won a premiership in the NRL a few years ago the club hired a few roof top apartments where their players could all party away from the public.

I hear Essendon were going to do the same, but they can no longer show their faces at a Lawn Bowls club after the geriatrics kicked them out of their previous home

Apparently Geelong have a trademark on dress up parties.

Nobody in the history had ever had one until Geelong came up with the idea.......

Who cares who came up with the idea, it's gold having the dress up Mad Monday. Also a little better than just drink until spew. At least they get some photos in before drinking until spewing.

They weren't away from the general public, they were sitting at a long table next to the green looking kind of bored. Rhys Stanley trying to get McEvoy to have a "roll". One of the "Jackson 5" guys (couldn't pick him) running all over the green. Maaaaaaaaad Monday.

Pretty disappointed to be honest. Although as has been said, in this day and age of smartphones, you won't exactly see players running naked down Punt Rd.

I think more than a few clubs would spend the day in a city pub, followed by the obligatory naked group jog through the CBD during afternoon peak hour.

“Mad” Monday these days is pretty sad. I guess we only have our own society to blame.

Still pretty good at local level, depending on the club. Was definitely peak season for Jazzy O (RIP).
