I never even knew about the concept of broken street dates until perusing through a GAME store a couple of years ago and finding Pro Evo Soccer 10 on the shelf a good 2 weeks before it's release date. By the time the rest of my mates bought it i'd mastered it.

Good point about the competition as well. I'll probably just go to JB as they'll almost certainly be the cheapest, but it's always worth looking in Kmart and BigW as well.

Madden 09 will tide me over for a few days more.

No, Backbreaker2, or NFL 2K14, or BF3, or many other games before Madden during exclusive contract period.

Yeah, it's listed $98 at EB, but listed $89 at JB, and Im sure Big W will end up pushing that lower a little, to force EB etc to match. Plus add some trade-ins.

Anyway, M12 is basically M08 with a better franchise mode, presentation and graphics, 3d grass, pylon physics and updated rosters. Should be a lot of fun for a little while but eventually the turdness of EA's madden will come to the fore.

Not looking forward to the 'Sky' Cam, they pushed it back even further. Hopefully the Zoom camera is better. Also, shame they haven't put in the defensive lock camera. Hopefully they patch that in. Playing madden so far up in the sky is stupid.

Nah, have you played the demo. It makes the previous Greatest Game in the World (Madden 11), look like a mediocre game

So where's everyone buying this one from?

Play-Asia seem the cheapest, at under $60, but you probably won't get the game till the middle of next week at earliest.

There's a few on Ebay at around the $70 mark, this one might do me;

I buy Madden every second year, just seems the changes are too small each year to purchase each version.

I love my Madden though, been playing Madden 10 to get back in the swing.:D

If it ahs just been officialy released in the states then surely if you were to buy it online and get it shipped over seas you would have it by tommorrow a day earlier is better than nothing if you cant wait just get it on the thursday a day wont kill you.

but yes i am excited about this game while the core gameplay of madden hasnt changed too much over the past couple of games this one will definitely make up for it with added and revamped features.

I heard be a pro mode hasnt changed much if at all but hopefuly it makes use of the new player roles and dpp(dynamic player performance) features they have included in franchise mode,these features alone will make be a pro mode much more playable and intersting than previous years as it wont be any different in core gameplay but these new features will defintley break the repetitveness of the last couple of years in bothe franchise and be a pro modes as well as other game modes.

Lets not be hasty we never said they havent changed anything just said from what we have seen it doesnt look any different gameplay wise.
 
You guys should actually read how much has changed in 2k12. Stop looking at just graphics quality. 2K sports have totally re-invented/re-vitalized the mechanics behind the game in just one season.

I would look for a link but i couldn't be ****ed right now. But you should google search around and you'll see how awesome NBA 2K12 is compared to the little that EA did with M12.

This is why the license must end asap and have 2K remaking NFL football again.

i won't be getting nba 2k12. i'll just get a updated roster. seriously there will be no nba this season yet they are releasing another game.

Do you mean like the way they did it in fifa how every player is modeled and move and act like their real life counter parts if so i thought they already have signature moves in nba2k11 ?

EA is a good dev for FIFA and titles like Battlefield. But when it comes to Madden, they are the worst (because they own the exclusive license). Yet, 2K sports has been doing it for years, and as a much smaller dev team than EA's Madden dev team, they dont make the yearly excuses EA does about not having time or too much effort etc etc. Not for 2K.

Really, truth is, EA does it on purpose with Madden. Ex-employees there have said management wants to ensure no madden version is 'perfect', and always taking out features to ensure every year they can hype it as something 'new' and get people excited for that version.

Didnt the players in nba2k11 all have their real life counterparts traits and signature moves i thought they did but i might be mistaken.

And why doesnt 2k release an nfl game but just change the names ie:instead of aaron rodgers they have Aaron hodgers and instead of the green bay packer they could have the green way stackers and so on(similar to the backbreaker series which is quite popular while not having licensed teams,players,stadiums etc....)

Im sure if the gameplay is as good as nba's 2k series i dont think it would people and if the game sells it would force ea to lift their game.
