I think they thought it would go the other way- ppl would be horrified by the use of "that" word.

Lol blew up in their faces.
If Ines had been acting like a normal human being and he called her that, then sure, I would say Bronson would have every night to cop a serve. But no. Just no.

They basically confirmed what I posted after the incident happened. They aired that thinking that they were on safe ground in calling out Bronson but not Ines because it's acceptable in the current social climate not to call out women for bad behaviour or else be see to be "against women"
Nine executive producer John Walsh said he was “shocked at the backlash Mel has received for defending another woman”.

“There were 12 women in the room that night and a man used language that was highly insulting and inflammatory in reference to his wife,” he said in a statement to 9 Honey.
Also, their excuse that the "experts" didn't see the boat scene doesn't cut it, because the way Ines spoke to/about Bronson at the commitment ceremony was arguably abusive as well and that didn't appear to be addressed by the "experts"

Am I a weirdo but I'd rather be called a campaigner than a slut
Depends I guess, what context. But yeah in general I would agree.

I found out a guy on BF who I hooked up with called me "easy" to another poster (who I knew IRL and got back to me) and i was furious. We went out on a few dates, talked for 2 months, etc before we even hooked up and if thats easy he's ******* dreaming. Was really upset actually at the time. Was a long time ago tho now.

It reminds me of MKR a few years ago where the wife was beating the husband in the kitchen all day with no backlash

Yet another couple the following year with a husband doing the same thing was called out by the judge.

Hypocrisy at its finest

And the dumb bastard had the audacity to come crawling back to me, after about a year of no contact.

Ignored his first PM, then replied short and sweet to his second PM, telling him to **** off basically.

So Liz has spent the entire show complaining that her husband went AWOL and she didn't get the honeymoon and a chance to get to know him. Finally they are living together, against his wishes, and she gets the power to basically make him do whatever she wants. So what does she do? Leaves him for the day to have a 'drink' and look at the bridge. Can't believe Filo is the one talking sense. She is just so cringe worthy in everything she says and every decision she makes.

I suspect that the producers have asked for all of this to set up Innes and Sam

However, Liz behaviour is a concern if that’s how she really is.

I get everyone hates Ines, but of the things we know about Bronson.

1. His name is 'Bronson'
2. He has some really rude tattoos
3. He wears a cringeworthy onsie that would make anyone want to just walk out of the room
4. He has an eyebrow ring
5. He does handstands in his jocks on the balcony.

All of those things scream 'massive tool' to me.

of course and the guy is thick as bricks and has that creepy smile

he just isn't a match for Ines, he is a dumb bogan, most of her behaviour is pissed off that she got stuck with him and the rest is to just troll and be a super villain (can tell by her subtle grins after she says things)

have to remember that we only get a small amount of coverage and they are pushing her as the evil super villain

personally I like Ines, dont think she is that bad

just the type that you cant let walk all over you
