Shell,
V simple bolognaise recipe from someone who is a basic cook.
1 onion, 500g lean or extra lean Mince, 4 heaped spoonfuls of tomato paste (home brand is fine if you want), teaspoon of garlic, 1 grated zucchini, 1 grated carrot, 1 beef stock cube (in 125ml of boiling water to break it down), a pinch of basil and oregano.
Dice the onion. Brown it and the mince in a large saucepan.
Once browned turn the heat down a bit, you don't want to burn it, but you want to keep it hot. (If only the cast of MAFS could do the same.)
Put in the tomato paste, garlic, stock, zucchini and carrot.
Chuck in a little basil and oregano.
Allow to simmer for about 10 mins, giving it a stir every now and then to make sure it doesn't stick to the bottom.
Serve over pasta, with a glass of San Pellegrino (or whatever).
Hope this helps.
sorry, just added mince should be lean or extra lean. Regular mince is a bit fatty.
