past midnight so a brief comment.

Maggots wore blue sox, white shorts and white shirt backs with blue numbers. So did the Kangaroos. I'll say no more!

Eagles played a rookie team that showed great promise.

Kangaroos were better side.

Roos need to change their club song as North Melbourne aint their club name any more.

Enjoyable match, rained for first time this year in Perth (even God comes from Melbun
), nice cupla pints after at the moon and sixpence and a great Indian Curry to finish the night off.........beddybyes now...goodnight

Here we go weagle supporters blaming umpires, weather & whatever else they can think of for being beaten. frodo you lost to a much better team, HA HA no excuses.

frodo where do you live? rained for the first time this year, you are joking right, it has rained a few times this year where I live, only 15 mins from Perth. Once again west aussies pretending that it is always hot here & never rains.

Um no sandie........your version of rain is what we call a burst sprinkler over here.
Better get someone to fix it so that the daily morning rain will stop

Well I am going to take last nights loss on the chin, norths experiance and qualitly shown thru in the end ,but i was encouraged by some of the eagles young guys.I am predicting that the eagles slide down the ladder wont be as bad as people on here predict ,if at all. My prediction between 8th and 11th by the end of the season.

If I was a Weagles fan (I use the term 'fan' intentionally, Weagles don't really have supporters do they?
), I'd be quite buoyed by that performance. Plenty of talent to fit back into the side; Gardiner, Cousins, Braun, Cummings, Prior, Jakovich, Ph Matera et al. Youngsters showed a lot of spunk, and if the conversion had been better in the first half...who knows?

Thanks Ripper! We've got lots of good players to come back into the side, and the way the young kids played last night, Eagle fans shouldn't be too upset since they were playing a team that was fairly close to full strength (Carey, Martin out were the 2 biggies).
