Mind boggling umpiring decisions, are something I have come to expect when the Pies play in the AFL, but I didn't think that it flowed over into the VFL.

But I have never witnessed a more one sided display of umpiring in the Willi/Essenscum game today. Umpire 13, was either on the Scum's payrol or he is an ardent Scum supporter! He awarded the Dongers 3 75 metre penalties, off incidents that weren't even free kicks!

Why has the Essendon kept Morcroft on their list? An absolute HACK!

Alan Didak is all class and should get a game against the Carlton Poos next week. He was the most talented player on that mudheap today, by so far, it was almost laughhable! Spent the second quarter on the bench and still got 20+ posessions.

Other good Pies players were Nick Stone, Heath Scotland & Jason Cloke.

Tyson Lane can clear out his locker now. Read what I said about Morcroft and times it by seven!

you clearly have no idea

didak was good but no where near the best

corey mcgrath had 33 possessions, spent half the game in the forward line
he had 22 possies by the 8 minute mark of the second quarter

jonathan robran clearly beat two opponents, took marks all over the ground

as for moorcroft, you obviously just dont like him, he was very good today, he made good position, had plenty of the ball and was spot on with his disposal

as for the umpiring, there was a lot of questionable decisions but they were both ways

essendon kicked 9 behinds in the second quarter and that alone kept willi in the game

What do you expect? The AFL umpires come from there. As for the 75 metre penalties, I think you'll find they only look like 75 metre penalties because Windy Hill is the size of a jam tin! Some of their decisions were very strange, though. Phil Cleary makes more of a big deal than is actually needed. He still doesn't seem to understand the holding the ball rule.

...and I'm the one with no idea!!!

Spot on with his disposal? He kicked the ball out of bounds on the full six f*cken times! Scotland had a poor one, but at least matched Moorcroft in terms of possessions and used the ball a lot better. If it wasn't on a mud heap, Scoots would give him a bath! He will play seniors this week due to the injury to Rintool.

I also didn't say Didak was BOG. I just said he was a skill level above the rest. On what is the worst ground in Melbourne, the poise and balance demonstrated by him was outstanding. All he needs is to be played on a decent ground and have higher class players that know what he is doing.

As for the umpiring, I was reading a Collingwood board and an Essendon supporter said that the game was umpired shockingly, but on this particular day, it was CLEARLY IN FAVOUR OF ESSENDON. Also, the commentators had absolutely nothing to do with the one-sided and incomprehensible decisions by the umpires. They were simply inexcusible!

I think it would be of serious benefit to you walshy, to read the friggen posts before responding because I never said Essenscum didn't deserve to win. I just said that the umpiring was one sided and pathetic. You would be a grade-A moron to think otherwise!

That would have been me Figjam, until the soft c ock bloke who runs the site deleted all posts of what had been an interesting debate on the reserves game. All because I had the audacity of calling manchester united fans as scum many weeks before !!!
Very true on Didak,I felt embarassed for him being out there,he is wasting his time playing seconds football
Old hotrod sprouts on about hating censorship of any sort, and then rubs out a good chat between a don and some pie fans,he gives meaning to the word soft.

So you're John the Don!

I wondered why Hotrod deleted your thread, as I thought it was the best post of the day!

I don't post there, I'm just a voyeur. I might one day, as it's probably one of the most informative club footy boards going around. But at least on this board I can strive to teach the ignorant about the greatest club of all!

Sly's board is pretty good too, but again I am merely a passenger.

As a Liverpool man, I think your cogent argument that Manchester supporters are Scum is clearly valid.

His spiel at the start of the board should be followed by him. Profanity and personal attacks warrant the moderation of boards. Personal vendettas don't.

Thought u might like to know the scotland had williamstowns most possessions, so he cant have played that bad
you might also like to know that moorcroft and scotand throughout no stage of the day were direct opponents
they were only opposed at particular times throughout the day due to centre square and forward rotations
and moorcroft was very good, he was a great benifit to the young kids along with dean wallis and both were outstanding in the last quarter when some of the kids showed signs of pressure

the umpiring was terrible but i dont think it was as one sided as u believe it was, there were patches were essendon did get a few free kicks in a row, but i think we only had about 4 extra for the match
