The Port boys ran all over North yesterday. Even though North wernt fielding a full strength team, Port looked the goods. A few good signs for North fans too with the continual improvement of a young list.

Good signs for the Magpies as they sounded a warning to the rest of the competition. Very potent attack with multiple goal kickers:
Mercer 4, Lobbe 3, Clayton, Waterhouse, Dolling, Perkins 2, Mardling, Murray, Saunders, Bowes 1.

Good to see Clive give off four handballs as well.

North were missing Alleway, Ackland, Allan, McEntee, Ryswyk, Younie, and O'Hara, but we were missing a couple, and you can only beat the opposition that comes your way.

Great crowd for a trial game too.
