Collingwood supporters:
If Pies win the flag this year, who would you rather be the coach in 2012 - Mick Malthouse or Nathan Buckley? (ignoring the contract).

Neutral supporters:
- Who do you think Collingwood would be better to keep Mick, or go with Bucks?

To me, it seems a very awkward and not an ideal situation for the Pies. I think they'll go back to back, meaning Bucks will take over at the peak of their powers. If I was Pies man, I'd be reluctant to say goodbye to Mick for a newby.

Thoughts?

They have the best outcome right now, with Malthouse in charge and Bucks supporting him, If Buckley coaches, hard to see Buckley enjoying Malthouse breathing down his neck, watching every move.
maybe another agreement to come, Buckley has 30 years ahead of him, He may just have to be a little patient for the best outcome, Coach in 2 or 3 years and start his own legacy.

If the twopeet happened and thats a big if. Then I would love NB to say to Mick have another crack. I can only see this happening if NB initates it. There is to much love at Collingwood for Nathan and they would never sack him and pay out his contract before he has even coached, so that Mick can have another crack in 2012.

Ousting a coach after back to back flags would make absolutely no sense at all in my book. If he gets the team performing at a level to achieve this outcome, then taking the role off him is not an option in my book.
