In a way I like mainstream music. I listen to metal, but prefer the mainstream metal bands like Slipknot, Rammstein and Disturbed, etc. Not mainstream as such, but invokes an eye roll from "real" metalheads because of their popularity.

I like the Big Bang Theory.
I drink Hahn Super Dry.
I like Marvel movies.
I live in SA and barrack for the Crows.
I like McDonalds, KFC and Pizza Hut.
Nothing wrong with drinking Hahn Super Dry. It's one of tbe best of the dry Australian beers and always seems to be on special

So is Apple mainstream or not?

Years ago they just made computers, and people who used Apple and not the generic Windows/IBM etc. stuff were always a bit off.

Then they made the iMac, and iPod, iPhone, iPad, Macbook etc.

Go into any JB Hifi or whatever and one of the first displays you see is the Apple stand. They are pretty commonplace even if Windows is still the preferred operating system and Android smartphones may outsell the iPhone.
As far as phones go, iPhones are definitely mainstream. Obsolete tech now but iPods definitely were too.

The computers are probably still arguable. They don't have the market penetration to be mainstream, but are not rare enough to be niche anymore. Working at a computer repair shop, Mac users love to think they're part of some big secret, yet at the same time will tell literally anyone who'll listen.

I still use my ipod. Don't have any music on my phone.

My iPod classic 160GB is still hanging in there. Going to be a bummer when it dies as you can't get them any more, only the touch ones which have less functionality.

I do have some music on my phone as well.

I ended up getting mine fixed when I dropped mine and stuffed up the display last year.

I was drinking Great Northern at the local speedway last night.

Was cheap and done the job.

I love my four IPods. What's superceded them?

My iPod Touch has 60GB of space, my phone half that. To have a phone that would carry the amount of music I want would be ridiculously expensive.

I guess most people use streaming apps like Spotify/Apple Music these days and only save a select portion of music to their phone, so that much storage for music is unnecessary.
