In my mind , we look at Fritsch and JVR leading to opposite part of the ground . Don't worry about Kozzie , our mids ignore his leads anyway. What i don't get is why they kick it onto (Brown (Insert Weid)) their heads and think that's ok !
The Tigers sacked a Premiership Coach 12 Months after he won a flag . I don't think we have that ruthless streak in us .

I think they kick it on top of their heads because they know they won't mark it anyway. so may as well gain ground.

Well that's great until the opposition gets the ball and then romps down to their forward 50 and score . Personally I don't think Goodwin is a good match day coach . We will find out next season when they have to do something to counter the 2022 season . I won't hold my breath !!

Interesting interview with Goody (for a change) this morning on RSN. He'd taken off the positive vibes only persona now season is over and was pretty honest - "learnings" didn't even get a run until towards the end.

Basically he said they knew they had a real problem after the three mid-year losses, they tinkered and tried to change things but it never worked on a consistent basis.

Very refreshing to hear that his spin throughout the year was just that, spin. I was pleased to hear the realism, although I would have preferred he realised we had a problem when we were scraping home against average sides and maybe we could have got a new plan together earlier.

I actually heard the back end of his press conference after the Brisbane game, I think on the couch played it. He was the same, very matter of fact about our weaknesses being exposed and that we tried to change it on the run but couldn't. It was only a minute or so but it was way more transparent than you'd ever hear and actually gave me a little confidence.

Clearly keeping the fact we haven't hit 3rd gear up his sleeve for when we really need to go up a notch :$

Yep, he's nothing but "positivity" and "learnings" during an interview mid season, but you'd be silly to think that's the language they use behind closed doors.

I understand why, but as members we deserve some honest communications once the season is done and perhaps a little more insight mid-season too.

I guess that's why we're so interested in trade period. If we try to make a number of moves in the forward line and bring in some more skills and pace through the midfield, then we know the coaches are seeing it the way we saw it.

Based on what he said today, we obviously are getting Grundy but that can't be the extent of his plans to change up our talls.

With Jackson out the door, Majak retiring, Mitch Brown retiring, Tmac re-injuring his foot, BBB barely unable to move with his knee, Weid struggling to break into the team and Tomlinson looking for more opportunities - that's a lot of our talls that we need to replace/plan for.

Hope we've got into the ear of some talented talls across the league - not just Grundy

Lol Majak and Brown? We could replace them with any scrub delisted rookies. BBB sucks anyway so really it's a replace Tmac thing. If we are chasing grundy that's gonna be it, we aren't gonna have money to throw around on talented talls that's why we were linked with that GC bloke I can't even remember

That's exactly what I'm saying - we need to replace these players with someone and we're not going to replace them with 18 year olds. Talented doesn't mean big money recruits. I'm not saying get McKay, Grundy, Darcy Moore and Ben King.

Who’s replaces Yze if get Essendon job?

Wouldnt imagine it will be hard to find a quality replacement if so, pretty plum job on paper, should be no shortage of applicants to choose from.

What a gravy job it would be, can't play much worse than we did with this list and ya rock up, team plays more attacking and ya get all the credit.

There's talk of Yze taking Choco Williams over to Essendon if he gets the job. Not real happy about that, but I guess change always involves opportunity to improve.

Would be a bit weird unless it’s a promotion like a senior assistant role

This is so true about Kozzie. We do seem to fail to capitalise from his leads. When he is a target we tend to chose a great moment when he has no support on the ground and two blokes a foot taller around him. Reminded me of times past when we used to mysteriously single out Jeff Garlett as the right guy to bomb it to with some kind of expectation that he would grow 5 inches and gain 30 kg, plus acquire the playing style and attributes of Fev in the 5 seconds it would take for the ball to sky its merry way over to him. Marvellous!
