Alright guys & gals,

Who has to prove themselves in 2006 to stay on the list. IMO the following players need to have an impact to save their skin:

Cam Thurley
Matt McCarthy
Charlie Gardner

While these blokes need to play some AFL Games:

Matt Spencer
Brent Prismall

And for us to go further, we need to get more from:

Andrew Mackie
Kane Tenace

Thoughts.................

I reckon that is a fair call Rosso.

If Dog, King and Ottens can get themselves somewhere near fit, they will more than provide us with quality footy
I have asked Santa for an ankle injury free preseason for Dog. Just looks to have so much class, can't wait to see what impact he has over a full season.

As for King & Otto, just look at how Sydney controlled all their finals games with the two big blokes. If these two guys can play together for the majority of the year it'll take us a long way into September. For the onballers to have the freedom to be able to run forward of the ruck contest is something that we lacked for most of last year. Remember Tenace's goal just before 3 quarter time against the Kangas earlier this year? Ran forward of the contest, the tap hit him on the chest in stride, one bounce, bolted inside 50 and nailed it. The whole thing took about 5 seconds. Something that we can expect to see more of when these two big blokes get going.

with Sando retiring and Riccardi not expected to be included in all 22 H&A rounds as part of his general condition management, I would hope Prismall gets a run. Will be interesting to see where Thompson plays Spencer, considering we have no shortage of KPP defenders.

I'd say spencer will struggle to get a game unless you are referring to Pre-season.

I was thinking the same thing. Perhaps Harley may get an extended preseason to get over his injuries or may have a rest at some stage throughout the season and Spencer will come in then.

I would think the whole team has to prove its the real deal.
The window of opportunity only opens for so long

You missed the opportunity against Hawks and Eagles you now have a chance against Eagles, Saints,? over the next few years.

I'd like to see Egan without 2nd year blues like some of our other players did a few years back ie bartel.

For our forward line, im thinking 80-90 goals between GAJ, SJ and Chapman with another 80-100 from KK and Otto will place up in a great position, and with a consistant team without injuries, i think it would be 'make' rather than 'break'.

Bit like the Aus Soccer team calling there run tot he world cup this year 'Destiny' isnt it?

BANG! Absolutely. These next two are make or break seasons for GEELONG. We are now old enough to be a force and if we are going to be one, it has to be now.

Didn't we have the second youngest list in the competition this year though? (Please someone correct me if I'm wrong...). I think we could potentially have the makings of a very successful dynasty at Geelong.
Despite how long it has taken us, I still think we are ahead in our development. Just imagine what this team will do when they reach their physical prime!

You know last year I watched as Chris Johnson tried to beat the crap out of Ablett Jnr to try and put him off his game; at first I thought 'Leave him alone you p***k!" Then later I just figured that players like Chris Johnson (great player, don't get me wrong!) might as well enjoy it while thay can now, because in the next couple/few years Ablett Jnr and the rest of this team are going to be opening up a whole can of Woop Ass on players like that...

I love seeing where our team has come, and I'm looking forward to see where we go!

You are correct about out list. Also most good teams lose a few times in the finals before they win. Not many walk straight into G-Final and win.

I completely agree with your post. Think the same way
